Have any of you guys made a turkey pot pie with the left overs? Im in the mood for it and I love cooking, but this is one thing Ive never made. Any recipe ideas? I found one online that seemed pretty easy but just wondering if any of you guys have made it before.

I have never made this and not sure I would, but I did a quick search and found this recipe for you -
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Turkey-Pot-Pie-I/Detail.aspx Don't know if this is like the one you had already.
You could also do a turkey ala king, that would be what I'd do ;) I can see if I can find my recipe for that if you like :)

Whats Turkey AlaKing? Sounds interesting!!!It is usually made with chicken, but you could sub turkey :)
I make a variation of this recipe ...
Chicken a la King
* 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into bite-size pieces
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1/4 cup milk
* 1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese, softened.
* 1 (10 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
* 1/2 bag of frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans)
* 1/4 cup sautéed mushrooms diced
* 1 teaspoon onion powder
* 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
In a large skillet, heat oil; add chicken pieces and sauté in hot oil 4 to 5 minutes or until chicken is lightly browned and cooked all the way through (juices run clear). Cook frozen veggies according to package directions. Stir in the milk, soup/gravy, cooked veggies, mushrooms, onion powder, pepper and paprika. Bring all to a light boil. Cover skillet and reduce heat. Let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir together and serve … over biscuits, English muffins, rice or pasta.
OK, here is how I usually modify it ... I sub prepared chicken gravy for the soup and I add about 3 tablespoons of sour cream, maybe a little milk too. I left out the mushrooms (forgot them at the store) and just used carrots and green beans for the veggies.
I just use cubed chicken left over from whenever I made chicken last and had frozen. So I mix up everything for the sauce and mix in the seasonings, then I add the veggies and the chicken and mix all that up.
I put the mixture in a casserole dish and then put flat crescent roll dough on top and baked it all for about 20 mins ... *yum* Just don't overlap the dough or it won't cook right.
Sometimes I will just make the cresent rolls separatly and serve the mixure on top. You can also serve it with english muffins or rice or pasta or as a pot pie if you like ;)

So my hunny didnt get out of work until late, so i ended up making the 1st recipe that was found for me since i had everything there. It was really good!! SO good that he ate 85% of a 10 inch potpie lol. I would definitely suggest checking it out if you have leftover turkey! I still have turkey, so ill probably try the other recipe as well =)

How did I miss this post?
A little restuarant secret...... They sub leftover turkey alot of times for chicken. They just soak the turkey in chicken broth overnight, and you now have a chicken. I did this alot for making soups.

Oooooh, might I suggest this recipe: Turkey Pot Pie with Cheddar Biscuits (http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Turkey-Potpie-with-Cheddar-Biscuit-Crust-240566). I love epicurious haha. I found that recipe a few years back and now it's tradition with turkey leftovers for us. It's so yummy!
I'd just note that I tend to use a potatoe instead of a parsnip, because Jon is not fond of them. And if you like it extra creamy you can always add some of your leftover gravy to the veggie mix. I also add frozen corn in with the peas.
