Hello everyone,

On the day of our wedding, my parents will have been married for 30 years and 1 week. I'd like to incorporate something into the wedding/reception that celebrates them in some way. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the board!

So did you plan to marry on your parents anniversary?

Maybe you can make an announcement/toast to them and the reception ... maybe give your bouquet to your mom.

Well, it's not exactly on my parent's anniversary, but a week after. Still close enough that I feel it woudl be important to recognize it! Yeah- I love the idea of giving her my bouquet!! Deffinately a toast... wish I could do a dance but we're having it in a small place so there is no room... what do you think about maybe having a cake for them? Would that be weird? Thanks for you help!!

I think having a small anniversary cake presented to them with a toast would be sweet :)

I agree with what Brandi has said...maybe a little note in the wedding program if you are having those as well.

A toast to them would be really nice, too!

Maybe, since it might get in the way during the ceremony and in the formal pics but it would still be really cool, you can have your florist remake her bride bouquet... or maybe just use the same types of flowers she had in her bouquet for her corsage...

We (hopefully) will be getting hitched on my grandparents 66th wedding anniversary, on purpose, and will definatly add something to the program about their marraige and that we hope to emulate their love and respect for one another.
