Oh ladies,

I have sunk to a new low this morning. FH and I are headed off to Las Vegas tomorrow and I am insistent on printing out our boarding passes 24 hours to the minute before we leave.

Of course, despite rumor that it never rains in Southern California, it stormed last night. And our internet is down.

So I resorted to dial up to get online. DIAL UP! I didn't even know if my computer had a phone jack thingie on it.

I don't know how long I really think I'll be on here today...:) BTW I panicked - the idea of no internet was too much to take!

I know how you feel. Up until I moved out and a little bit after, my parents had AOL dial up. It was quite frustrating.

Makes me think back to the days when it was so cool to have AOL 4.0 over AOL 3.0...haha.

You poor thing! My parents have a temporary internet line until they get their phone installed in the house they are building, and it is dial up. OMG - it sucks! It takes me like 1 minute to load a thread on here. I feel for ya sister, I really do!!!

I had dial up until FH moved in and insist that I get high speed. I didn't think I needed it! Now I can't imagine anything but. For example, just now, instead of clicking on the link in the email to respond to the forum, it makes me cut and paste the link to respond to you!

But wasn't getting AOL 4.0 cool? I had to install AOL 9.0 on my computer this morning and it didn't feel too cool...but back in the day, I hear you! :)

Update - we're back on-line!

It came back about 10 minutes after the time I needed to print the boarding passes. So the dial up experiment was worth it, since I got the boarding passes, but the frustration has been removed for the rest of the day.

Woo hoo! :)

Glad you didn't have to suffer with dial up for too long!

I HATE that! It sucks when you rely on something and it totally take a poop on you!

But FYI...I use to travel every other week. I would often check in online, I never once printed the boarding pass. Mostly because I don't own a printer. But if you go to the counter they can print a pass for you in a few seconds...Southwest is best about that, but I'm sure all the other major carriers would be about the same.

And I'm sure I would have panicked too! I'm not every good when things I try to plan very carefully fall apart.
