kiiiick off!!!

so i kicked off my holidays today.. xmas music went on and the baking started... we started our thanksgiving baking which includes pizelles *any of my italians ladies and gents that may know what those are* Biscotti, almond cookies and i added some good ole' snickerdoodles..

we also made stuff mushrooms and spidini :)

all while singing JINGLE BELL JINGLE BELL JINGLE BELL ROCK......

My parents rule is the music and decor isnt allowed out until NOON two days before (its the day we all cook together for thanksgiving) so at NOON on the dot i left work and headed for my parents house!!!

How fun. The very first festivities for Christmas are always great. And it's fun to have traditions like that.

My family never did much holiday baking... so when I moved into my own little apartment and decorated it; that was probably similar to the holiday baking mood.

Our holiday officially starts tomorrow; we have put out a few things, but we will put up the tree tomorrow and the lights outside over the weekend. I love to decorate :D

I usually make cookies for Christmas too, but nothing too special or home made or anything.

I love holiday cooking. If I had the time to cook year round like I do during the holidays we would probably spend about half the money on fast food that we do. I love baking, cooking, experimenting, etc.
