Okay, Im not sure if this is the right Thread but here goes.

I am the MOH in my sisters wedding which is this weekend, and she's being very laid back about everything, she's picked out our dresses (which are lovely by the way) and suggested we get gold shoes but other than that she's letting us call the shots on everything else; ie. our makeup, hairstyles, nails etc. So I finally decided how I think I want my hair. I dont prefer the "ultra-fixed" hairstyles but since she was paying to have our hair done if we wanted I knew I kinda needed to have them do something that I couldn't do myself at home or it would just be kinda pointless. So I decided on the faux bob....because they can curl my hair to add body and it wont be slicked back but will still but "styled". What do ya'll think? Also, does anyone know where I can get a picture of some faux bob hairstyles, all the ones I found on line dont really look like what I'm going for. Plus should I call the salon and make sure someone there knows how to do one of those styles? It looks like mostly bobbie pins and hair spray but I dont want to wait til the day of and it not be doable? Suggestions, opinions etc.:)

I am not sure what you are talking about. Do you have some photos to show us as a guide?

Yeah, I have never heard of a faux/fake bob ... is that where they somehow just tuck your hair instead of cutting it in a bob? :bbconfused:

Exactly! lol I"ll have to find a pic the only one I could find was of Eva Longoria, but seeing as her face shape is totally different than mine I was trying to find other pictures. Let me find it....

Well I couldn't find a pic but here is a link to a YouTube video, the first one theyshow is for a faux bob, the second is for a modern updo.
I'll keep looking though.

Heres one of Lara Flynn Boyle I dnt knwo if her hair is really this short of if this is a faux bob, but thats what it would look like if it were fixed that way.

It sounds plenty dressy to me! Then again, my MOH just pulled the top half back and held it in place with a sparkle clip, so maybe I'm not the best authority on that.

Here's the closest photo I could find:

OMG I had My hair like that when i got Married first time back in 1992.
Made Me look totally different. When i got changed into a going away outfit I took My hair down. It was halfway down My back. I had to put My Tiara back on. Just incase any of the "Out-Laws" Family didn't recognise Me. :bbeek:

I don't know much about it, but I found this article that may help you? I say, as long as you feel confident and sexy your hair will look great!! http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip000357.htm

Scrwballsgrl agrees: Do you think its dressy enough for MOH hair?
Well the celebs are wearing it on the red carpet ;) I don't know; I guess it depends of the feel of the wedding; I'd ask the bride.
