View Full Version : I hate my furnace

Within the past two days had to call out the repair guy to bang on the furnace.
Get home from work Friday the furnace was dead, he worked on it for 7 hours and then figured out it was a lack of air movement and told me to go with the cheaper filters, verses the high end hepa, cause the thing would over heat and the safety would shut the furnace down.
Well it was working fine till this morning, now no heat again.:irked:
Lucky for me I pay a little extra a month for a repair program, other wise Friday would've been $300 and today would be time and a half.
I should just take and beat the h*** out of it, maybe that would give it an attitude adjustment it needs. :icon_barbar:

This was so me last year that this time. In the time span of 6 weeks we have repair guys here working on the furnance 10 times. Thankfully we rent so we weren't the ones paying all those bills. But it was pretty darn annoying to wake up each morning to a cold house! Hopefully they can finally figure out the problem with yours and get it fixed.

He just left and had to replace the control module (which he did 2 years ago) $300 part plus $100+ instalation fee. Ouch!!!! Glad for the repair program, and only $30 a month for it.
Hopefully this is the last time I need to call him out here. At least it aint 40 below outside yet.

When I first glanced at the thread title here I thought it said "I hate my fiance'"

:rofl: Don't tell Gina, otherwise I may be sleeping outdoors while Red get's the warm bed. She still thinks I'm married to her:)

We just had one of our two heat pumps go out. So one side of the house is warm and one side is freezing. RC just had to leave for a trip for work so I get to call the heat and air guys. I'm not looking forward to the next 4 days. Oh lots of cooking and cleaning to get everything ready for Thanksgiving.
