so i am almost finished with my bachelorette party boxes. they are "favors"- we found shot glass necklaces and whistles in one package for 1.00---- i love the dollar tree!!!
there is a bachelorette whistle, a bachelorette shot glass necklace, a nametag necklace with numerous colored ribbons and a "princess" crown barette.

my mom is hilarious, she put all the gear on and was prancing around the house, poking the dogs with the stick and we had people working on their backyard, they must have thought we were nuts!

Yah, i got the shot glasses at the dollar tree. they also have the chinese food takeout boxes, but i got them on sale for .29 each- here ill do my breakdown

for 8 of them.

Rings-2.99 with 40% off discount. 185
Take out boxes- .29 each total 2.32
Whisle and shot glass mardi gras necklaces - 1.00 each 8.00 each
Nametags- used ribbon i had, got laminated, 1.50 for all 8 on sheet
Tiara hair clip 2.99 with 40% off for 12!! = 1.85
Stickers on front- used stickers i already had :)

total 15.52 makes it each 1.94 each - not too bad :)

Just wondering because I thought I had to be all hands off this area. I told one of my bridesmaids a place I wanted to go and she said I didn't get to pick. All my other bridesmaids said they didn't care if I made suggestions. I talked to my MOH and she said when she gets married she will says meet me here at this time. LOL -That's why I love her. It is just too bad she is so far away and won't be here for it. :bbsad: The one that told me I couldn't pick is the one that is really stepping up to the plate when no one else is so I am just happy to have a friend that loves me enough to take that on even though she isn't the MOH so I can't be upset in anyway. I know she means well and just wants to do what she think will be a blast. I didn't know if I was the one that needed to make the favors.

I think if you want to do them as a little "thank you" without having to shell out the kind of money you're going to for their "official" bridesmaid gifts, you can do something. but usually when it's like a surprise and they're telling you "hands off" you can just enjoy the ride.
