Hey ladies...

PHEW... seems like forever since I've been here!! Things have been CRRRRAZY lately, and I just haven't had as much time for my forums lately (other than the one I built last week  ).

We were on the road for my cousin's wedding, then I was outta town for training, then I got back to work and took on more responsibility (that's what the training was for) and got busy. Then I was in training for another week (we're going through a corporate wide Lean initiative), and then the work REALLY piled on....

In the meantime, as mentioned above, I started (as an offshoot of another forum) a ladies' specific riding forum (in short, three of the well-known riding forums have folded or turned to cr@p in recent months, so we're filling the gap)...

I've also been trying to get back to writing, both reviews (for Epinions) and my blog(s)... since I'm no longer posting to my wedding blog (obviously), I started a riding blog, in addition to my 'regular' one.

http://neerides.wordpress.com (it's really mainly for ME, so it may be fairly boring to most.. lol).

AND (exciting news!) I got a new bike last week. It's a red Yamaha R1 (1000cc). It's actually the same bike my husband got earlier this year, but his is black.....

I guess that's about it! Married life is amazing and wonderful... we're still enjoying the honeymoon phase, and looking forward to our first married Christmas. :)

Alright, so I've got 18 pages of new posts to catch up on... so have I missed anything good?

And, not that this has anything to do with anything, but this smiley ROCKS!! :icon_barbar:

Hi there :hi:

Congrats on the new bike and all!

I can't think of anything really exciting you missed; we are in the midst of the holiday exchange and a few people have gotten ornaments already :)

Good to see that you are back, alive and happy :) It's always good to keep busy.

Congrats on the new bike! Someday, you will have to teach me how to ride

Congrats on the new bike! Someday, you will have to teach me how to ride

Thanks!

If you ever come to FL, I can make that happen -- Husband (and literally 8 of my close friends) are all rider coaches (they're certified by the state to teach people how to ride). :)

First thought that popped in my head were some b1tching leathers and a helmet to wear. Good thing I can't ride.

Thanks girls!! Yes, doing great, just busyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Work is kickin my butt lately!!! But it's good - I like the added responsibility, and while it cuts down on my slacking (read: post whoring) time during the day, I like having more to do, and more CHALLENGING stuff to do, so it's a win-win.

Welcome back!

Nice bike! My Dad had a yellow and black Yamaha bike kinda like that, but probably not as nice, when he was younger. Now that he's an oldster, he rides on Goldwings. :lafhard:

I'll share your blog with him when and if he ever gets the internet... we're working on convincing him that he needs it!

Thanks!!

The original Yamaha colors were the yellow and black -- they did an anniversary edition of my bike in '06 in the Yellow & Black and it's just spectacular (a friend of ours has one).

When we become oldsters, we'll probably become Beemer geeks -- the big touring/adventure bikes. :)
