So I got back from work a few hours ago, I was on the phone with DH and he was driving, I was mid sentence and the phone goes dead. No big deal, DH is in Oregon for the next three weeks... he has been there for the last month and a half and when he is driving in the hills some times he hits "dead zones" I figured no big deal he will call me when he is out of it. So I'm chilling out, laying in bed, watching the news, checking out new post on One Wed when I realize that my ringer is off on my phone since I turned it off at work.

I flip my phone open and I have 10 missed calls from DH, 3 from FIL 2 from MIL and 1 from Sister in law with 2 text from DH wanting to know if I am ok. I send a text that says I'm fine and listen to the voice mails in which he is nearly in tears telling me that he is going to call the police if I don't call him soon that he is worried.

I call him and say "I'm fine what's the problem." He tells me that he will call me right back that he has to call the police back and tell them not to stop by the house and he hangs up. I'm sitting there thinking, you have to be kidding me! I jump out of bed and get my pajamas off and throw back on my work clothes because I just know they are going to knock on my door even if he tells them never mind. Sure enough the door bell rings and the officer tells me that they got a call from my husband that he thought I was in danger, I tell him no that it was a misunderstanding and that I just had my ringer off and my husband just panicked for some reason or another. Of course the officer wants to walk through the house to make sure that no one is hiding and that I'm not acting like everything is ok out of fear if someone is actually in the house.

I kept laughing and I told him that I was sorry, I know it isn't funny but DH and I have gotten cut off before and I just don't know why he over reacted so much. So I bid the officer farewell and apologize profusely for taking up his time.

DH said that when we were talking I was just walking into the door of the house that I'm staying at with three friends until DH gets back. When I walked in the door I was complaining and the last thing he heard me say was that everything in the living room was messed up then the line went dead and when he tried to call me back, my ringer was off! He thought someone broke into the house and that's why the living room was in disarray (which was really just my roommates) and that i didn't answer the phone because I walked in on who ever broke into the house!!!!

My man and his imagination lol oh well, at least I know he loves me lol he's so adorably cute!

Aww! That is too cute, even though I know it must have been terrible for him! My FH would have done something similar. Heck, he probably would have called the FBI or something, lol.

Sure makes you feel loved though! :)

Aww Bless Him. At least it proves He cares and was actually "Listening" to You on the phone. Instead of the normal "Yes Dear, OK Dear, Whatever Dear" that Men normally babble down the phone.

Police turning up at the door is a scary thing. I had them a few weeks ago. And straight away i thought something had happened to DH. (He's already been blown up once at work) Turned out it was because a neighbours Van had been stolen.

When i was a kid We had the Police knock at Mum and Dads house asking if We were OK. Turn out a Cousin in Vancouver hadn't heard from Us in a while and was starting to panic. It was during the 70's when the IRA were in full force here. And Our Cousin thought there was Tanks on every corner and road blocks everywhere. :bbeek:
Because He hadn't heard anything. He contacted the Canadian Police. They got in touch with the Metropolitan Police in London. They got in touch with Essex Police. Who got in touch with Our Local Police, who knocked on the door.

All He had to do was pick up the phone and dial Our House

That's awsome, and you know what? If I had been in his shoes I would have called the police too! I watch too much CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, and Cold Case to not let my imagination run away with me

That's so sweet that he was looking out for you!

Oh that is so sweet of him to freak out like that (kinda sounds funny wording it that way, but you know what I mean). He really does love you!! :grinhappy:

I think my FH would just ignore it and not assume anything. Sometimes I think he doesnt worry enough lol. I always say to him "what if this were to happen" or "what if...". He always responds with "oh nothing will ever happen". This drives me insane. Something can ALWAYS happen.

Im glad your man stepped up to the plate and took action!... even if it was nothing. You got a keeper!! (i'm sure you already knew that though :) lol)

Ahh, don't things like that make you feel so loved. I would have been dying when the police showed up. Hopefully they had a sense of humor about it. I know it made me laugh

Oh that's hilarious. I know my FH loves me, but I doubt he'd ever go that far! But that's an awesome story.
