I need some help with my centerpieces. I would like something different than the ever popular hurricane candle thing. I have seen a picture of a cool modern lantern with a candle in it but can't find anywhere that has any. Any suggestions on where to find lanterns, or any other neat centerpiece ideas that would have more of a garden type theme?

I bought lanterns that hold either a votive candle or a tealigh in them they were black (a little rustic) at WalMart as a gift for someone, this has been awhile ago, but I would suggest looking there.

i found lanterns for my fall wedding at a local craft store. If you have a Michaels or JoAnns near you, I would check there. I think these were around $2-$3 each. I used votives inside.
Here is a picture of what mine looked like:

Check the floral and candle departments of your local craft and decorating stores. Good luck and have fun!

Another idea is to ask your florist. Most florist rent pieces that are unique and stunning. The price may be lower than buying them yourself.
If you are unable to find lanturns another idea is to use a Candle Plate and add Sea-shells, moss and tealights instead of pillar candles. It creates a unique look and you can add your style and colors making it your own.
