FH and I would really like some keepsake unity candles with our names on it. Problem is, all the customizable unity candle sets we've found so far are $30+ so I thought I might make it a DIY project. The only hiccup with that plan is I am like the least craftiest person ever. So I need inspirational ideas on what to do and I also need step-by-step instructions on how to do it. Just so you know, our wedding colors are baby blue and yellow. Oh, and no religious symbols. That's no crosses and no biblical verses.

Here is a DIY project for a unity candle with an invitation on it -

If you didn't want to use an invite, you could print something with a monogram or something else on it if you wanted. I am sure you could use rubber cement instead of pins if you wanted too.
EDIT: There are a couple others here - http://wedcraft.com/

You could always put some ribbon around it (maybe a really wide piece of baby blue ribbon with a piece of yellow ribbon on top) and put your names on the ribbon, either around it or each of your first names on the "tails" if you tie the ribbon. (a low-temp hot glue gun works very well for this)

I just thought I'd tell you girls that I decided to cancel the whole project. Glue guns and I do not get along. So I found a great deal on eBay for a personalized unity candle and I decided to go for it.
