After I got my dress I did not consider looking at those fluffy slips because my dress is a mermaid style. However, I was on the DB website and noticed they are actually make a slip just for that style of dress. I would feel odd bringing in my gown to try on with a slip and I defiantly don't want to spend the money if it is not going to make much of a difference. Has anyone here ever worn one of these? http://www.davidsbridal.com/accessory_detail.jsp?stid=3896&prodgroup=254 Did it improve your appearance $50 worth? My dress already has a bit a tulle under the flare but would a slip make it easier to move around? I know nothing about these lol.

I didn't have a mermaid gown in the end, but the ones I tried on looked fine with a basic slip to prevent panty lines without the floof at the bottom. I think the purchase of the slip is unnecessary, but that's just me.

What dress did you pick out?

My dress didn't actually come from Davids Bridal, one reason I would feel really goofy bringing it in here. I never got photos on me in my actual dress, just the sample of the tried on that is 2 sizes to small...I look like a sausage lol. I know I posted it a while ago but I will try and dig of the photos.

i think some of the mermaid style dresses could use the fluff, however, yours looks beautiful a bitter flatter, i think since your so tiny, a bigger bottom might look silly. JMO

I don't think anyone has ever described me as tiny lol, I am 5'8 and 170lbs :o . I do think you are right though, the dress looks nice without added poof.

you could have FOOLED Me!!!!i would never ever guess your weight or height. You look great!!!!!!! but your tummy is pretty flat there girly so wearing that puffy bottom would take away from it :) IMO !!!!!

im so jealous of you by the way, im 4'9!

Also just to jump on this no slip bandwagon. Not sure how hot it is wear you are but a slip will make you even warmer. Also certain types of fabric will wrinkle if you put a slip underneath. Just some things to think about. I thought about for my dress and decided not too, and I am glad that I did.

It is going to be Florida in May, anything thats going to make me hotter is probably a very bad idea.
