Well I am a little excited!! .

Last night at about 1:30am I heard our side gate being pushed, someone was trying to get into my yard :( (I still had lights on inside the house), anyway my dog Delta ran up there and started barking and stuff and I hope that scared them away but I turned some of the outside lights on too. I was soooo scared I woke up my housemate but she went back to sleep, well I stayed up untill like 4pm I was still shaking a bit.

Well my housemate is moving out soon probably within a month and Jeff is still going to be working out of town untill August so that will leave me home alone and scared!!

Ok here comes the part I am excited about... I might be getting another doggy (for extra protection). I have 2, one that lives with me Delta, and one that lives with my parents in my hometown Titan, I just couldn't take him away frm my parents as their house has never been broken into because he is there. Anyway when Jeff gets home we are going to discuss getting another one yay!!!

This is Delta

I love those picture of your babies! (my pets are my babies too!) I have 6 dogs, 2 prarie dogs , 2 pet rats, and a cat! I love all of them dearly!! I hope you get another 1 for protection and as a great companion. You will stay in my prayers. I hate that creepy, uneasy feeling! My hubby works out of town 80% of the time and I still get a little paranoid w/ 6 dogs! (I wouldn't be able to do it w/ out them though!)

That's so cool that you might get another dog! I can not wait until we can get a dog. We've got a cat now.... he doesen't make a very good gaurd cat.
My old dog would bark at anyone who came remotly close to the house. Just a little heads up that someone is near. It was nice. :D

Those are beautiful dogs, Naomi!!! I think you would be pretty safe with two rottweilers roaming your yard by that gate. I have a pit bull, a dachshound, and a cat, and they all do a little bit to help me feel safer here. Good luck with getting your new baby!!

Thanks everyone, I think my furbabies are pretty special , as I am sure all of yours are too you.

Ok I am gunna post a pic of the dog I am in discussions about getting only one problem, if I get him desexed he is $250 if he's not desexed he is $2000 (because he is pedgree) BIG difference. I was sort of hoping to one day get a litter from my female and that way I could get some money back, but Jeff and I will have to have a good chat.
Here he is isn't he beautiful???

He is pretty! I love my dog too, even though she's a mutt. I think she's the most special dog in the world. She also is a very good protector. She woke me up one night when there was someone in our yard. She was sleeping in her bed which is on the floor beside me and all of the sudden she started barking loudly. She never does that at night! Thank God Justin was there because I woke him up and he took care of it.

If you get the new dog neutered it would be cheaper, like you said. Besides, I think neutered males make better pets anyway. You can always find another male dog to have your female studded out to. How much does that cost in your area?

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, my sister breeds rotties and they are very expensive...I wish you the best with him! Eric and I have 6 Quarter Horses and we feel the same way...they are all registered AQHA and ARHA...we laugh and say we are broke but the horses live well! When we started discussing the plans for our future home (hopefully) the first thing we talked about was the barn and riding arena (not the HOUSE) LOL! Furbabies of any kind are special, best of luck again, he is beautiful!

Naomi

He is absolutely gorgeous. I really want a rottie but Matt is sted-fast against dogs like that. (its his own personal opinion) Instead he'd rather get a malamute. I hope you get him, he is beautiful!! Good luck!

I had to show ya'll some pics of our babies...
Meet: Lena, Di(Lena's filly), Jackie and Oops(Jackie's filly) (she was an accident) LOL!
AKA: Hickory's Queen O'Lena, Lan's Hickory Diamond and Miss Doc O'Straw, Oops is just Oops...she won't be registered due to her daddy being a registered GELDING...he was a stud for a short time (but long enough to pass along his lineage)...unfortunately now that he's a registered gelding we can't register his offspring.

Beautiful horses Ellen! I can't wait until I get my first very own horse. My FIL has two but neither of them are broken. I wanted to get the paint broke but he has these evil eyes and he's such an evil horse, I gave up and figured I'll buy a nicer, older horse for my first! lol

This is Oops, I couldn't fit her in the other post...she was the "accident" that can't be registered now...she is full of mischevious and loves to aggravate the 2 yr olds....we have her and her mommy in the field with the younger horses...

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g287/cowboysbride/oopsbite.jpg

Her mother is a King Ranch horse...her mother was born and raised on the King Ranch in Texas and then sold to our friend and bred by a Jack Straw/Doc O'Lena Stud...which basically means she has awesome bloodlines/lineage...she will be used to cut and rein once Eric gets her trained, she was my Anniversary and Valentine's Day present this year, shortly after she had "OOPS" lol!

My friends thought it was AWFUL that he bought me a horse and not a diamond but I knew the ring was coming!! But to be honest I was tickled pink with the horse!

SORRY...I know this is so NOT wedding...:bblol:

Oh this horse is the devil!! I wanted to at least get him halter broke and the a-hole did nothing but try and bite and he almost killed my MIL. His problem is largely his family jewels still being there and the fact that no one gave him any handling when he was first born!!! This horse is three or four years old and up until last summer (when I seperated them!!!) he was suckling AND mounting his mother!!! BLECH!! lol I tell ya! This horse is horriable!!

Oh I know Amber...Oops had the cutest little fuzzy tail and baby soft mane that laid in curls whens she was born...she's full of herself now but at the time I could sit down and she would walk up to me and put her head over my shoulder (like a hug).

Rotties are very beautiful, but I am scared of big dogs like that. We once went to play with one at the pet store, he was like 6 months old but he was HUGE and he was very aggressive, not mean, but just too aggressive. I love smaller dogs like terriers.

Your horses are BEAUTIFUL! I grew up around horses, well, we have POA's so technically they're ponies but they are big!

I live in an apartment right now so my horses are at my parents, but when I can afford a house with land the FIRST thing I am doing is getting me some horses! =)

He is not here at our house but he will be with us in a couple of days YAY he has been in a couple of dog shows and won (told ya he was cute lol) He cost a bit more then what we wanted to pay but we fell in love lol.

here is a pic from when he was a bit younger....

He is so adorable in that picture! I'm sure he still is! =)

I don't know a strong name for a dog like that. Killer? :bblol: You couldn't give a dog that cute such a bad name like that!

I'm sorry I couldn't be too much of a help, but I'm sure you will find a name that suits him perfectly.

Just wanted to say that your new puppy is adorable!!! I like Titan, but when I saw him the name Cooper popped into my head!!! Just thought that it was cute, but "manly" enough!!! Also, if you want to go with something related to Steel, you could name him Kal-el, which is the "man of steel" Superman's birth name!!!

Yeah, when we got our cat, his name was Rudy...which we didn't particularly care for...but after he almost died and gave us a great scare, but pulled through...we decided the name fit him!!! So maybe there is something to be said for the name that that they are given!!!
