so i frequent another forum every onee and while. its a "frugal living" forum and gives some of the most awesome tips--- cool coupon codes that we found, "secret" sales at certain stores or promotions. they also do cool "challenges" like "silver jar" challenge where each person gives a guideline and challenges THEMSELVES. for example if i say okay in 2 months i will save 300.00 in silver change (believe me, i have seen it on the website) then i stick myself to it.. seeing other people doing it on the site motivates others. they also give themselves things like grocery challeneges - like i will feed my family this week on 25$ each a week- so a family of 4 needs to eat on 100.00 or less *i know that for kids its a little less per person*
anyways.. i know we are a close knit group here so i was thinking if anyone is interested in keeping each other motivated... we should start some different threads.. hope you dont mind brandi and other MODS - im going to start another thread for "coupon codes and savings" - i have a couple coupon codes i want to pass along that i have been using alot lately

Hey I'm a member of a forum like that too ... wonder if it's the same? I'm absolutely into frugal living, not wasting, finding bargains!

Check out www.freecycle.org - you never know what you can find for free there :)
The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 4,631 groups with 6,121,000 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people).

You have to find the one for your area. As far as I know they are all Yahoo! groups. The main freecycle page should help you, where it has an area to search for local groups.
I've given away a lot more than I've found on it, but it's a good site.
