I thought I knew which dress I wanted, but I decided to try some on today while to see if I'd change my mind. I tried some on at David's Bridal... they were ok. Then I tried mostly bridesmaid dresses on at the next store we went to. The lady there said those would be best if I didn't want a train, and then I could order it in white. I really liked two of those.
Then we went to a shop that's closing and is 50% off. I found one there that everyone thought was very flattering and the best one I'd tried on. And it has a corset back, which is what I really wanted. It does have a train, but it's not a very big one. It's the one that I was wearing when I said, "I feel like a bride." That was because it was the first time all day I was wearing a veil with the dress... but still. Oh, and it actually mostly fit. That was a miracle, most of those dresses have a huge gap between my chest and the dress. The corset back was the right choice, I think.
I am soooo excited! I was getting chills when I was looking at it after I made my decision. Anyway, the dress was originally around $800, marked down to $398... or maybe $389... same difference, haha. I paid about half of it, and I still have to pay the rest, and it has to be paid by the time the shop closes in January.
I've got pictures but I can't post them yet 'cause Eddie is right behind me. Haha, we were all (all the bridesmaids and Eddie's brothers) looking at pictures on our computer, and poor Eddie was the only one that couldn't look.
We also got the bridesmaid dresses picked out. It's not the exact color I wanted, but I now wonder if it's even possible to find what I wanted with the color I wanted. One of the bridesmaids was being very persistent about it, even though I said I was 99% sure I was going to go with those dresses. I can only hope she remembers that when she's the bride... I hope she takes into consideration what her bridesmaids say.
Anyway... I got a dress!! I am so happy about that. :)
