What are some good bridesmaid dress brands? I've got all four girls coming tomorrow, and so far all I have lined up is David's bridal. And I've seen their selection both online and in the store (twice). I just set it up as a starting point... and to see if there's anything I missed. Plus I wouldn't mind trying on some other dresses, myself, to make sure I'm making the right choice.

Anyway, I'm searching for some other shops to look for dresses at, and I think it'd help to know which brands are good, and then to find the shops they sell them at. I was going to go to this big formal wear shop, but they're all booked on appointments for tomorrow, which might be a good thing because I've heard their service is not great.... depending on which customer you talk to, but I don't want to take my chances if I know half or more get bad service.

I haven't yet been able to find exactly what I want, which is.... a medium blue, fairly simple dress at about mid-length. I'm also looking for them as cheap as they can possibly come 'cause I don't want them to have to spend more than they absolutely have to... dresses are expensive.

And while I'm asking questions... are tea-length dresses too informal? I think Eddie thinks they are, but it's going to be hot outside in July... so I think people will understand if the bridesmaids are wearing shorter dresses.

Sorry for the novel... any advice any of you have will be much appreciated!! :)

I'm using tea-length dresses from David's Bridal (style number 81591 w/ peekaboo slip and sash, in case you're wondering). Tea length is TOTALLY acceptable. Jeff took a little convincing too, but after a little while, he got on board. I told him to worry about the groomsmen and I would worry about the bridesmaids! lol.

I found another dress I LOVED by Watters (#5437 w/ optional spaghetti straps) but it was $300, and I just couldn't justify anyone spending that! I think you're going to get the most bang for your buck from David's Bridal.

I like
Ann Taylor - so elegant, all dresses are silk and styled so nicely! http://www.anntaylor.com/catalog/department.jsp?N=1200042&categoryId=193

Macy's - they actually do sell nice BM dresses for a reasonable cost! http://www1.macys.com/catalog/index.ognc?CategoryID=35252&PageID=151408862095331&kw=Bridal%20Shop

Nordstrom - same as macy's, but with a little more couture bent as opposed to a classic selection.

Alfred Angelo has a nice line. I also like watters and Dessy (which is who we're getting our bm dresses from)
