The radio hostess is talking about a raffle ticket that she just bought out of pity.

A coworker of the hostess came to her and asked her if she would buy a raffle ticket. It seems that a friend of this coworker is getting married. This woman and her fiance do not have much money so, they are asking their guests to sell raffle tickets to raise money for their wedding. This poor woman was stuck with 100 tickets to sell. I have no idea what the prize is but OMG !!!! - is this not the tackiest thing you have ever heard?

OMG are you kidding?? I bet the bride feels silly now that it's been played on the radio. LOL. Don't tempt me Elizabeth... I am just the type of person who would call in to things like that.

No thanks. I prefer to buy one for someone that I have absolutely no connection with :rofl:

This reminds me of a couple I know ... they (who had both been previouslu married) hosted their own engagement party. Now that might be questionable but what through me was that they had a 50/50 raffle to help pay for their destination wedding!
