Anyone getting in the holiday spirit yet? I am! I already put out a 3 ft Christmas tree and Christmas figurines in our apartment. We plan on getting a real Christmas tree; hopefully we can get one the day after Thanksgiving. I bought hubby's present - a nice collared shirt, t-shirt and boxers. I'm going to stuff his stocking with engineering-type toys and candy too. Only 13 days until I'm off work. I need the four days off so bad.
Off topic, but just had to say that hubby made up a budget for us that included how much we spend (monthly) on bills, food, etc. and he put an allowance on there for the both of us and an amount to put into
savings. We've been struggling financially, so we haven't been able to shop for a couple of months, and he knows that I really miss shopping and that I've been down, so he came up with this great budget, so we can each spend $50/month on whatever we want. He's the best!

I made me a Christmas background for my computer desktop the other day ;)
We have ordered some new ornaments for our tree and plan to go shopping for some other holiday stuff this weekend. Garden Ridge is having a sale! We need cards and I want to get some stuff to redo our wreath and maybe a new tree skirt.
We won't actually put our tree up until Thanksgiving though.
We made out a holiday shopping budget too :) Now I just need to decide what to buy for everyone on our list!

I've totally gotten the holiday bug, but I'm not allowing myself to act on it until after Thanksgiving! I've already begun researching Christmas gifts though, and I'm beginning to plan my decoration theme (I always decorate my tree in a different theme each year). We're also having a desk decorating contest at work, and so I'm pondering how I will make my desk the most festive!
I've been Christmas shopping since early October. I started shopping on Ebay - that way it's not such a hit in Nov/Dec. I LOVE the holidays, I just can't wait till THIS holiday season is over. Next year will be so much better - I hope.

OMG - Greg and I are just itching to put up the Christmas stuff, but we're controlling ourselves. He bought these cool LED outside lights, a case of them to decorate outside. I have a Christmas village, 2 trees and oodles of things to put out with Christmas.
But right now.... I have Thanksgiving out. *sigh* Just a little while longer!

I 've been doing a little here and there. I prepared the stockings for my brothers kids and ourselves. Basically got the regular red stockings and used the glitter pens to decorate them with their names.
I've filled up some of the stockings, done most of my xmas shopping online and already purchase items. I only have a few people let to buy for.
:o We are going to do xmas decorations this year since we are going to NY for xmas to visit my mom.

My Christmas tree is up and decorated, but remember I'm Canadian, so I've already had my Thanksgiving.
I've bought FH part of his Christmas present (a yellow iPod Nano), and he has it already. I still have to get the other part of his gift, and I'm not sure what it's going to be. He's buying his parents present today (a blue ray player), and we're still deciding what to get my mom/family. Part of my mom's and his mom's present is going to be a cookbook I've designed, I just have to get it printed.
He's shopping for my gift, and wont tell me what he's getting me. Usually he ruins the surprise, I tease him that I want to know and he caves in right away.

Omg no. I don't ever get into the spirit until after i look at my schedule at work for that week, lol. Don't want to get all excited about it unless i actually get to be part of it.. And not just servicing selfish people who don't realize that said workers would actually rather be home with their family. lol
I am excited to go to family lunch on Christmas. Thats the only day our store is closed.
I've been thinking of what to get people for Christmas if we're able to afford to. I actually just got Chad a pair of Kaenon sunglasses for a crazy discount as a Christmas present. Only $50!! I'm trying to keep it a secret! I've also been enjoying looking at Christmas decorations while shopping for the ornament exchange. :D

Now that I am finished the ornaments before our craft show, I am getting into the spirit  The rest of my Christmas spirit will follow as soon as we have shipped off our last order.
I don't know who all will be with us yet but I can't wait to have Christmas in our new home!

I'm WAY excited. We finally figured out how we are going to handle family Christmas stuff this year which is SO much stress off of me! I've got a good jump on Christmas shopping and I have a pretty detailed list of what to get so the rest of it should go pretty smoothly. I already know what I'm getting which actually makes the whole thing much more enjoyable for me. I HATE surprises!

I'm not at all excited yet for xmas. I still don't know what we're doing or where we are going. Seems like we'll disappoint someone no matter what we do since everyone is so spread out. We don't have much in terms of decorations--planning to buy a tree on sale after xmas if we are home (which looks like not so that disappoints me because I won't pay full price).
We have ornaments but no tree. We're being cheap this year and only doing homemade gifts, and doing a date night as our gift to each other. Hopefully I can finally make it to a concert since I've never been. And, we always enjoy a nice dinner.
Did finally figure out Thanksgiving plans so that's a relief! It's our first Thanksgiving with just the two of us and not traveling. Already planned the menu and a friend is coming over to join us as well.

I want a Christmas tree already! Still haven't seen any trees out yet. Maybe next weekend. It's chilly here...we're going to get some firewood and I'd like to get some hot chocolate. I just love curling up by a nice fire and sipping hot chocolate.
Anybody have pictures of their holiday decorations yet? Would love to see them.

I made a "winter" wreath for our front door yesterday, using only stuff I already had (I hate to spend much on decorations). I think it's pretty cute. I'll have to get a pic! I also think I'll make an advent calendar out of extra green felt I have. Advent calendars are big in Germany and I had one every year till I graduated college!

The only christmas related thing I've done is started to make a list of who I have to buy gifts for. Always hard every year to figure out what to get people.
No decorations up yet, when those are up I'm sure it'll increase the spirit.

I love Christmas, but I am so NOT in the spirit yet. It's been in the 80's and 90's here in LA consistently. Typically, the weather cools down around Halloween, but here we are mid-November and I wore a tank top and shorts today.
It's really hard to get in the holiday spirit when you're sitting outside at Starbucks, drinking an iced tea, and they're hanging tinsel around you. It just seems weird! :)
I'm sure when I go back to VA mid-December to see my family and it's cold I'll be ready...

Oh that is so not fair! I put gloves on today to do yard work because it was so cold!

DH and I are going to the tree farm over Thanksgiving weekend to get our tree! I'm so excited. The place we're going (my family has been going there for years) gives you a hayride through the farm with hot cider and makes stops every so often so you can get out and pick the tree you want!
This will be our first Christmas since we bought our house, so I'm definitely pumped to get started with everything. We still need to go out and buy decorations/ornaments/lights also.
My only dilemma is where to put the tree...? My living room is big but oddly shaped. Hmm....
