Does anyone know of a good site for designing your Save the dates that you can upload a photo?I want to send them out around X mas time, but not be to XMAS-y. tried many sites but dont like the templates that they have. Any suggestions would be appeciated. Also not to expensive, Ive seen some that are like 2 dollars apeice.YIKES, I need at least 50.
And 1 more question, We have like 325 people for the wedding, do we have to send EVERYONE a save the date? I know that if we send them one, they have to get an invite, but want to know if I have to do 325 save the date cards. THANKS!!!!

My first thought would be VistaPrint, but I don't know their prices.

As a general rule I think you only HAVE to send save the dates to people that are out of time or you think will need extra time to make plans for the wedding. I know if your wedding is on a holiday weekend and you're worried about people making travel plans and the like it's a nice gesture, but they're not ever required. We've got about the same number of guests (150 invitations), but we're only going to be sending less than 80 save the dates (and that includes a few extras to give to family members who don't actually NEED them but would like to have them).
The only template place that would be pretty inexpensive that I can think of is VistaPrint. If you just want to do cards, you might can just design something on your computer and take them to someplace like kinkos to get them printed. (In theory you can do the magnets yourself, too. Just use a business card template to design them, then get the magnet sheets from a craft store. Stick the paper to the sticky side of the magnet sheet and then cut them apart)

I would definately say go with VistaPrint.
I used the postcards - got 100 postcards for free and only had to pay the shipping. I paid for the slowest shipping 21 days and it only cost me $10.43 and I actually received them in 7 days.
They are always having deals for free items, etc. definately worth checking out.
As far as who to send them to - you wouldnt need 325 as I am sure there are couples so you'd only need to send 1 per couple. I am sending one to everyone but thats just because I want to. I am sending them in Christmas cards and in total need 80.

hehe i also ordered the postcards. 100 of them for free and i paid about 6.00$ (i have found they are pretty random with their shipping prices!)
i loved them. for 4.99 more i think you can upload a photo.

Well I am in Canada so that might make a difference with the shipping.
Also, they sometimes have the upload for free - just need to watch for the deals.

We just had ours printed in the photo dept. at Walmart.
I think you could get away with only sending save the dates to those who have to travel to get to your wedding, or those who usually make plans far in advance. We just sent our to everyone though because it wasn't that expensive to get them printed.
VistaPrint magnets are an awesome deal also! You should be able to send them to as few or as many people in the wedding you want... since they aren't actual invites. I would suggest sending them to those who live farther away and need time to buy plane tickets, make travel arrangements otherwise, etc.. I will also be sending them to my bridal party and people I "really really really" like cuz I am getting the refrigerator magnets and I know people will think that's neato skeato! :o

I was overall happy with my Vista Print save the date magnets. What I was most surprised about though is that out of 75 I sent out I didn't get a single call/e-mail saying hello or that they thought they were cool or congrats on the engagement. Hmm.
THAT is surprising!! WOW I'm sure my friends will think it is neat! Family, too! Odd. But... we are refrigerator magnet peeples. :)
