Planning a trip to Vegas and need some help!

We are planning on going to Vegas this summer and I am researching the best deals on hotels and flights, I was just wondering if anyone is from the area or has any tips on places that are great or places to avoid...also any attractions, aside from the casino/bar scene, that we should check into while we're there.

I have family in Vegas. Whenever we visit with the kids, we have to stop at the M&M factory. They love it every time. Also- you must have gelato at the Belaggio (sp?) it is heaven!
