Hey I know I haven't posted in months, classes started back up and I started getting more hours at work its been crazy. Anyway I thought I had finally found bridesmaid dresses that I liked but then I started thinking about how they are going to look next to my gown. I think the silhouettes clash a bit. My dress is a mermaid/trumpet style and I would never ask my bridesmaids to wear that cut, I think they would kill me, but I want something that would look nice next to it. This is my gown http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/gallery/wedding_dresses/vendor/designer/demetriosilissa/detail/118358?offset=45#_chip=0 and this is the BM dress I had been considering http://www.dessy.com/dresses/bridesmaid/6532/#LineList=3&catid=1&displaytype=GridMedium&activePage=2&rpp=9&SortOrder=BridesmaidLineDefault I really want something floor length under $200 any suggestions?

I think they will look lovely next to your gown. My general rule for bridesmaid dresses is that they cannot have more fabric than yours. Mission accompished, since your skirt has a super-mega-flare thing going on! :D

Hmm, well I'm no pro at this, but I think that if either the bodice or the bottom of the dresses were similar to yours that they would be a good match. I feel like the bm dresses you have picked out are too different from your dress. What about finding something with that bottom (and the beautiful lacing across the middle) but in a strapless?

What do you think of this one? http://www.edenbridals.com/7179ts-p-1116.html 2/3 of my bridesmaids really don't want to do strapless.

Wow! Your dress is gorgeous! May I ask what color your BM dresses will be?

I am back and fourth between a moss green or a brown. My dress is ivory and we will be carrying bright flowers so I thought they should wear something more neutral.

Well, I just got a very strong request that the dress have a covered back and if possible arms. Not sure what I am going to do now, maybe a jacket. I found a few nice things with covered back but there are very few long sleeved dresses, and even fewer that are not hideous. I am still not sure why I need to have a dress picked out so early anyway. Oh well still a work in progress I guess.
