Our little get away.

Some of you may have noticed I was away last week...thats because my DH and I decided we needed a little holiday. I just thought I'd share the photos of our room....lol...they were the only ones I took! we stayed at West Edmonton Mall (the largest shopping mall on earth! BIGGER then the mall of america!) in the "Fantasy land hotel". There thing there is theme rooms, they have a few different ones. We stayed in the "Polenisian room." and it kinda reminded me of when we went to hawaii!! Here are the photos.

The bed! Notice the mirror on the ceiling! lol. (This is a very EXPENSIVE hotel and all the rooms have mirrors over the bed. A little creepy if you ask me! lol) The bed is supposed to look like a boat! Thats the sail on the head board. The whole room had an ocean view painted on it!

The jacuzzi that was in our suite! the thing was huge! You could swim in it and the water came out of the rocks.

I wish I had taken more pictures of the whole Mall! There is an actual pirate ship in the mall!! Its so neat! They have a water park, a amuesment park, a hotel, a HUGE movie theater, a pirate ship and of course your stores for shopping!!

We had a blast!

Wow, that room is amazing!!! I love the tub! Sounds like you must have enjoyed it. It's good to get away everynow and then. And hey, the largest mall in the world is the perfect "retreat" if you ask me!

WOW...seems "mall" just isn't quite the word to describe that place! I'm so glad you had fun! The tub in that room was cool!

This is the pirate ship the Santa Maria. You can have your wedding reception on it and even get married on it.

Anyhow, and yes the hotel is attached to the mall...its really cool! There is so much to do there!! They have A sea lion show in the middle of the mall, a mini golf course and so so much more! Its so cool! If you want to see more pictures just google "West Edmonton Mall", there are many cool things to see in that mall! lol

I'm sure Jenn's been there a few times! :wink:

We stayed in a hotel in Florida that was in a mall once ... but it didn't have themed rooms or a roller coaster and water park. It was actually a bit 'stuffy' for my tastes ;)

That place looks awesome! Canada has the BEST places to go..I remember I went to this awesome water park in Victoria B.C. back when I was like 7...It was the greatest..Until I went to Crystal Palace in Edmonton (I think that is where it was)...It had a hotel, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, an amusement park, movie theater, restaurant..It was great!

I used to live very close to Edmonton and to be honest, I'm not sure I've ever heard of this Crystal place...doesn't mean it doesn't exsist though! :wink: You're right, Canada is pretty cool. But I can't wait to go to Disney Land or world, which ever it is that I get to first! :)

You can go bungee jumping at the waterpark! That's pretty crazy! There was some wicked water slides. The ones with the tubes (lazy rivers) are my favourite.

Oh yeah!! I forgot about the bungee jumping at the water park. And as far as the lazy river thing...not too sure if they still have it, it has changed SOOOO much!! lol. I used to skip school to go there all the time back in the day! Me and my BF and his buddies used to do it all the time! It was great!

I got my belly button pierced at the tattoo shop in the mail there too! lol. Yes you name it, you can probably do it at this mall! There is actually a "street" in the mall...its called Bourbon Street and there are a few bars and some pretty awesome resturaunts on it.
