My fiance and I picked out a ring some months ago. The band has four small diamonds going down the sides. However, I wanted to know if the sides that are holding the little diamonds in place can have the pave look added to them

I was going to post a photo of what my mounting looks like but I'm not a full member yet.

Basically the band has little diamonds inside of it, leading up to the diamond n the center, I'm sure you gals know what I'm talkin' about :D

Was wondering if the sides encasing the little diamonds in the middle could have the pave added to them, or something similar, for that "antique look," as my wedding band is going to be pave. :)

Thanks so much :)!

This is pave:

More antique looking IMO.

I have channel set stones in my ring:

My first setting had channel set princess diamonds. You can't really add the "pave look" to your ring. I had to have my diamond taken out of the original setting and reset into a new band. :(

Those are beautiful rings gals.

Well when I asked the sales associate that took care of us when we bought the ring, about possibly encrusting a pave look onto the sides, she agreed.....but...she also told us, that they could cut the diamond into any shape possible, and that was a lie.

I wanted a tension bevel set center stone, or at least something that looks like the diamond was "floating," they said they could do that, and they didn't do it. So now my center stone is sunk into the mounting being held in place from the top and bottom, doesn't look like it's beveled at all.

It's a pretty ring and the ring he and I picked out, and I love the mountaing which is why I don't want to choose a whole new band... the mounting band is pretty unique, and the whole set itself costed no more than 1500.

It would look pretty stupid with a pave wedding band, however, which is why I'm asking if it's possible at all.

.

woops, I meant the mounting and the center stone, lol, not the entire bridal set.

Is it possible to get a band that isn't pave style?? Something that matches better with your e-ring?

Thats what I was thinking. A pave-type band would make a really pretty right hand ring, if you have one already. Or, you could see if you get exchange/trade it in for a channel set band?

The thing is, is that I wanted a a pave wedding band, for the antique look, but I have quite the unique lifestyle----I play synth in a band and am a traditional artist so I also want something modern-edge and unique.

Basically I want the best of both worlds! lol! I really like the pave look. I just gotta keep it weird and wacky.at the same time.

I think my fioance would be crushed if I exchanged anything.

My fiance and I agreed to talk to the sales people about the ring. I can't do an exchange because there was a one month exchange policy, but, I am perfectly happy with my band.

I love my band, I'm just annoyed that the sales people lied about the things they said they would do---to make my ring personalized.

Instead, they just put the center stone in the center and made no effort at all to make it the way he and I asked.
