So I have been stuffy for the last couple of days; not sure if it is allergy related or if I am getting sick.

Well anyway; just a bit ago I sneezed and had to blow my nose. Then I felt a little pressure in my ears and then I got all dizzy and had to lay my head down! I still feel weird now

I hope I didn't rupture my eardrum or something!

Might be Vertigo.

Where the little "Spirit Level" in the inner ears gets blocked and it affects Balance.

when you have a cold/ sinus infection your ears get plugged also, which leads to the dizziness, due to fluid building up around your eardrums. Try taking a sinus decongestant, any will work,to relieve the pressure in your ears. If it gets really bad then see an MD they might give you an antibiotic to get rid of infection, hence relieving the dizzis.

Yeah, I figured it had something to do with my nose and sinuses being all stuffed up. I took some Sudefed and maybe that will help. But it didn't help much yesterday; I didn't sleep well last night because of the stuffiness.

I guess I will have to go to the Dr Monday if it is not better; so I just have to get by until then.

This will sound weird but it works. Take your pointer fingers and feel along your eye brow ridge. Towards the nose there is a slight depression. If you apply pressure there you will open up your upper sinus. Then at the base of your nose place a finger on each side and slide up slightly till you reach the point where your cheek bones join the nasal passage. Apply pressure there to open you lower sinus. Then take each earlobe and pull down, that will open you Eustachian tubes. will make everything run but that is better than being stuffed up.

I too have not been feeling well. Last week I passed out at the ac/dc concert (too darn warm after they blew off some firework stuff). Since then I haven't felt quiet right.

I went to the dr for a follow up and I have drainage in my ears and nose. She gave me an antibiotic and said if I don't feel right after that to give her a call. I feel "somewhat" ok, but yesterday we went to the mall with the rest of Illinois residence and it was too crowed for my taste, I would still get a little dizzy in the stores if I moved my head to quick.

I hope that you are feeling better! Hopefully I will really notice a big difference after I am done with the pills, I have noticed that I can actually breath thru my nose and smell now. :)

How are you feeling today?

So I felt ok after taking the DayQuil then took more before bed last night. Then it wore off a few hours later and I was miserable. So I got up at like 4am and took more ... I tossed and turned for like an hours after.

I keep thinking there is something in our bedroom I'd allergic too, so I decided to sleep in the living room to see if that helped. I don't know if the meds finally kicked in or if moving helped, but I finally was able to sleep.

When I got up my ear hurt a bit, but it is ok now. I have been a little stuffy throughout the day today, but not bad. Hopefully I will sleep better today.

Thanks for checking in on me guys :flower:

If you have fluid build up behind your ear, isn't nothing to play with. Seriously. You might need to go to a doctor if you aren't feeling better soon.

Sending you Get Well Wishes!!

I've been prone to ear infections recently ( I think it also must be allergy related) and twice has it been bad enough to affect my balance, It would almost be comical but it makes you nauseous when your dizzy (or me anyway). I agree with Aleta, you should see a doctor if it continues to bother you:)

Glad your feeling a little better though:innocent:

I feel pretty much better now. I went to the Dr on Tuesday, didn't really do much good though, just said take OTC stuff and come back if it is not better in a few days.

I had a bit of a headache yesterday with a little dizziness, but that is fairly common with my little migraines

I was dizzy for 8 months, everyone told me it was vertigo...turns out I had a 3cm brain tumor. Had it removed a week later and I'm recovering now... don't mess around with stuff like that! My tumor was the cause of my lifetime migranes and dizziness (and clumsiness, too).

Wow, sorry about that; glad you are recovering now!

So how did the Dr's find the tumor?

I went for a "routine" MRI to make sure there wasn't an underlying reason for my dizziness. Yep - 3cm tumor was the cause! Not saying you have anything major wrong, but I've never been one to go to the doctor. Now I realize there's no reason to risk your health. (My PCP told me to take Benedryl and it'd clear up. LOL glad DH made me go to the Dizzy Dr. - seriously, that's what he specializes in.)

Yeah, glad you got that checked out and cleared up!

I don't have the dizziness all the time, and this particular time I am pretty sure I just blew my nose too hard and poped my ears. And the headaches are not all the time either, they seem to be caused by stress.

Well I am off to the ears nose and throat doctor tomorrow. The meds that I was on has done nothing to break up the congestion in my ears at all. I was on medrol and lets just say, I looked like a beet all day. Uggh, I have the worst luck with antibiotics.

Knock on wood that this doctor works and whatever treatment he offers does too!

Ok, I'm back to whine. I have a cerebrospinal fluid leak, so they have to go back into my skull and re-position the cranial flap (or whatever they call it). Sigh. Back to square one with recovery.

This poop is nothing to mess around with! Brain surgery stinks.
