I am helping a friend plan a party for her daughter. They are a mexican family and the party is equivilant to a Bar/Bat mitzvah or a "sweet 16". However it is very similar to a wedding. The girl has to be in a white gown, the guy in a tux (she has to ask a boy to be her escort) and she has to have "maids" and escorts. Then there is a ceremony and a reception to follow with a big site down meal and then dancing afterwards. The date is in August. The young girl that this is for has no preference as to color or anything. I am planning a spring wedding and am using bright colors and have no idea what to do for an August event. What are your colors for your late summer early fall weddings? Any advise or suggestions is very much appreciated.
Thanks so much!

Think fall colors. Orange, yellow, red, brown.

Fall comes in many colors -- don't forget the golds, deep purples, dark greens. (Think of the colors you see when the leaves are turning).

I had a fall wedding, a good way to think of colors is the color of leaves in the fall.
Red, Yellow, Green, browns, golds
I have some wedding pictures posted on General Chat if you want to look at them.

Ask the teen what colors she hates. You might get her talking then. Try getting her invovled in her Quincenerra. Ask her what she liked about others she has been to. My great niece had hers last August and it was shades of blues.

Color differences aren't dependent on seasons, especially for this occasion. Why don't you bring her a few different swatches of color and ask her what she likes best? (look at her wardrobe; does it lean one way or another?)
