need some ideals

ok my and FI desided to go with a english high tea Recption. However I need some Ideal because we are take a more update look on it .Our colors are Black and white. think simple elagences(Sp?)

I'm not sure right now.... Maybe you should find some photos of a high tea reception and see what is changeable there. Have more modern tea tups and saucers and darker colours not so many pastels is what comes to mind right now.

Just the other day I saw some cute favors in a magazine. One of the being tea as favors. You can have the bags personlized or not. That would be a nice touch. When thinking of your theme all I can think as a lot of flowers. What about whit clla lillies as centerpieces and have some tables towering center pieces with white flowers and other tables with ragular floral arrangements. I would also suggest and accent color with the black and white such as red, silver, pink, etc to accent the black and white theme.

for Favors we are going to each pick our favoret tea then i will be making a little envlope that they will fit in to. 1/2 black with thank you emposed in Silver and then the other half in white with the thank you emposed in sliver again.

i was think call lillies centerpieces they will have to be on the small side because instead of having big table i am going to try and seat no more then 5 poeple per table.

we were thinking of using square and circle cookie cuter on the sandwichs and set the food up all on one or two tables so guest will have to move arround some.

We are also think of adding some light snakes beside the tea basic.

Ohh and my favert part is going to be our kids table..

if ur gonna do proper high tea then like u said u really shouldnt have large tables, everything needs to be small, inlcuding the way the food is prepared!
