:helpsmilie: I am in need of some advice of a good place to find nice invitations. I have been to all the sites and searched a few of the chain stores. I can't find anything that really blows me away. I don't want to spend over 200 bucks, I will only need about 50 invites. Maybe someone has a website I haven't checked yet or a great idea.:helpsmilie: Thanks so much!

I found a GREAT idea the other day...however, I believe it would take a lot of time.

I haven't figured out how to post photos yet (I will try below)...but once I do I will post what I found. I used to scrapbook a lot in my free time and think I could pull this off...but time is a big issue for me, as I don't have much "free time".

Did this work?

Sorry forgot to mention that I would also change the colors to pink, brown and ivory.

Those are nice :)

Do you have crafty friends and family that could help? Maybe you could have a little DIY party and knock it out in one afternoon!

Great minds think alike. ;) That's just what I was going to suggest.
Great colors, btw!!

It is hard for me to pull something off like that because I just recently moved for college and a lot of my close friends and family are back "home". I might have to pull some magic and see what I can do. Thanks!

Wedding Paper Divas have some beautiful items and for 50 invites, you can stay under $200, no problem. I found 75 invites and 75 RSVPs and the return address printed and etc... for about $245. I ordered a sample (which you have to pay $5 for but you get a $10 off coupon with) and it was very, very nice. Good luck.

Thank-you! I will check it out. How long did it take you to get the sample?

Also, if you have a Michael's near you they have some nice ones. They send out 40% off coupons so you could probably get them fairly cheap if you use coupons.

It took ~5 days. Also, you can use your $10 off coupon and THIS CODE gets you 10% more off: SAVE10. You can give it to them on the phone when you order or you can put it in the discount box when you order. This is a code anyone can use anytime, you just have to ask for it hear about it from someone else, fyi.

My sample, btw, was on a beautiful, thick paper and I was very impressed. I'm 99% sure I will be ordering from them ~ depends, I may have someone make them. Again, it depends on price. Also, you can get a FREE WEDSITE (wedding website) that matches your weddingpaperdivas invitations!!! They are www.mywedding.com (http://www.mywedding.com). :o

If time is a big worry you may want to spend a BIT extra and order precut pieces of paper so you dont have to spend a bunch of time cutting. i think that somebody on here ordered from papersnmore and they cut to her dimensions. it seems that if you pace yourself. maybe make 5-10 or so a day, you would have no problem knocking it out in about a week, which is what you would wait for invites anyway. when is your wedding?

When is your wedding? If it's after Thanksgiving, and you're going back to your hometown for it, you could have a gals' get-together and make them. Though, that was a lot of conditions that may or may not apply to you :)
