I am getting married in a small historic white chapel and then having the reception at my moms farm. I was kind of inspired by the old white barn that is on my moms property, so I was kind of thinking a vintage country theme would be really neat.
I dont really have any ideas for colors yet, I was thinking maybe using some red, since its one of my favorite colors.
Anyone have any pictures or ideas to fit in along this theme idea?

Oh, the chapel and the barn sound lovely.
What ideas do you have so far? Are you thinking semi formal? Country as in western or country as in rural?
I just happened upon this pretty photo set. Maybe something will inspire you - http://www.flickr.com/photos/camillephoto/sets/72157605489966832/

I agree that the chapel and barn sound wonderful! I think it pretty country red would be lovely too. Not something that is real bright, but a more "barn" red color.

I wish I had a picture of the chapel, it really is amazing. Its a very rural church, over a 100 years old. It belonged to a small norwegian farming community.
I am thinking Country as in rural, like farms and country charm and stuff.
Ive really no ideas yet, Ive only just started with this theme idea. Although I did see a beautiful picture of a wedding reception in an old barn and they light it up with white lights and little rustic lanterns.
There is a pretty little pond and a gazebo on the property too, so Im looking for ways to dress up those as well. I was thinking of maybe floating candles or something in the pond.
Thanks for the picture link, Im checking it out now!

Keep plugging search terms in at Flickr and you will come up with a gazillion pics to browse through.
I am picturing rustic lanterns, free flowing drapery, chairs with simple bows and hand tied wild flowers. Try searching for summer bar-b-q garden party decorating ideas too.

Ooh, that sounds so interesting!!
When I first read it, I immediately thought of these centerpieces that a bride had put together. They were these jars (like the ones you use to jar produce) that she put ribbon around and put wildflowers in. I picture wildflowers everywhere :-P
Oh I love your theme!! I had a country/4x4 wedding, so I had half of your theme :)
I used sunflowers and daisies - they're so simple and beautiful. I love the wildflowers idea too! As for vintage/country ideas.... I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Are you going to incorporate a vintage get away car/truck too? :D

Have him dress in some vintage country clothing (nice jeans, boots, dress shirt, cowboy hat), a horse and buggy. The wiild flower idea the other ladies suggested.
My best advice though, when you picture your country wedding, what do you see? Then go from there.

Anyone happen to know of any online stores that sell rustic lamps? Im thinking about using those as centerpieces, maybe dressing them up with some cute ribbons and wildflowers. Assuming I can find some at a decent enough price, so far everything Ive found has been a little out of my price range.
I know Target was selling little lanterns that were old style looking. I'm not sure what your idea is of rustic though... can you show us an example?
