We were discussing gifts last night. Since we have a mortgage now, we're not spending as much on gifts for each other as we used to. He asked what I wanted (I know...it's sad we don't do surprises, but that's just us!) and I sent him the link to it. The price is fantastic, at least half off of what I've seen at our normal jeweler:

He seemed to like it! It's simple but really beautiful. Sorry for the huge pic, I couldn't resize it.
Is there anything on your mind that you'd like to see under the tree on Christmas morning? :candycane:

Pretty ring :)
I don't know what I want; the last few years I have gotten tattoos, but we can't quite afford that this year. So I guess I will ask for cash for clothes or something.

We dont do Christmas Pressies for each other as such. With Four Daughters and a Growing Grandson, most of Our Cash goes on them.
We buy each other stuff as We need it throughout the year. (Undies, CD's, Clothes etc)
I'm terrible to buy for. There's never anything i want or need. But i do like to treat others. So DH always has "Something" to open on Christmas Day. And i sit there and watch the faces of others opening gifts.
That is My Treat. :)
To make it even more impossible. Less than Two Weeks after Christmas i hit the big 4-0 and DH is having a nightmare on what to do for Me.
I'd rather hide and let it slide. :whyme:

I don't really care about gifts so much. What I really want is to make memories and make traditions with FH. Last year we started doing movie night on Christmas Eve. We pic out a couple of movies, turn off the phones, get our drinks and finger foods together, and just hang out. So hopefully we will do that again.
This year we are going for a horse drawn carraige ride through the zoo. Can't wait!

Yeah. We don't buy each other anything throughout the year, so Christmas is the one day we exchange gifts with each other. I'm excited, that's all.:chimp:

CSI DVD's!! That's my husband's favorite show.....what a great idea for a gift. I am a coach lover also. Lately all my coach bags stay in the closet, though. I am always at school and don't want to get them dirty so I rotate my Vera Bradley's instead :) Please post a pic after xmas if you get the pink bag....I would love to see it!

I'm hoping for a Cricut (a scrapbooking thing) for Christmas.... or a second Yorkie lol

OMG you would die if you went to Hawaii, on the strip alone I saw 3 LARGE coach stores, there were also LV, prada, gucci! Good thing Jacob kept me out of there stores otherwise we would be broke! LOL He did let me go into the coach store and I was soooooo close to buying a purse before he dragged me out.
I am more of a Dooney & Bourke girl but those coach purses are soo cute!

I really like VB's too. They hold up very well and comfortably fit my books......I just got a new one at the beginning of the semester because some of my nursing texts are about 20 pounds each!!! The patterns are so cute though.....my new one is raspberry something or other...can't remember but I really love it!

I asked for a Dooney & Bourke this year :) I'm not a huge handbag person, but I'd really like to have a couple of nice ones that I know will last me awhile.

We're so caught up in Thanksgiving planning that we haven't even discussed Christmas yet... but I have a feeling that a new car is going to be his Christmas present to me, or rather, our Christmas present to each other. My "Grannymobile," as I call the car that I inherited from Grandma, is about ready to meet her in heaven.
We are looking at getting a Honda Fit!

We're still trying to decide between Silver or Marine Blue! They're pretty close in color, actually. :ooh:

..Not gunna even say anything to Steve, though. Who knows where our financial situation will be by then... I'd rather he not have to worry about getting me anything.

I really, really, really want either a stepper or a recumbant bike to complete my home gym. DH says I don't work out in the gym enough, so he came up with a grand plan to make the gym a sixth bedroom, so that we could move one of the kids to the new bedroom and make room for the new baby next to our bedroom.
I had to remind him that I'm, er, rum, fixed!!! He doesn't care! He's known about this for years, but his mind is on a new baby! If he wants that to happen, he's going to have to worship the Lord a lot more that he does now and he will have to pray every waking moment. LOL! :innocent:

HMMMM! Chrismtas from Fh, well I really want to go pick out a nice Artificial Christmas tree for our first Christmas together in the apartment next year.
Early for Christmas he tinted the windows in my car and Im buying him so wheels & tires for his racing go-cart, but at Christmas I'd like to buy a nice tree for the following year.

FH coming and spending a week with me for Christmas is perfect. No other gifts needed, although I could use a new Harley jacket. ;)

I think I may get DH the V for Vendetta comics for Christmas... still thinking about it. That's his *favorite* movie (along with fight club and a count of monte cristo) heh. For me? hum, maybe a new computer for sims3, but who knows? I would be happy just to be with him!

We talked about our holiday budget last night and we decided to not really do gift for each other. We usually buy something to add to our decor, so we are gonna just leave it at that so we can spend more on our families.

With our wedding so soon after Christmas, we pretty much are limited in the gift exchange this year. I have all of my Christmas shopping not only done for family and friends, but also wrapped! But not for Greg. I have a couple of small items for him, but no one big ticket item. We're putting what we have left in savings into the honeymoon (which we originally weren't even going to have) - so that's a treat in and of itself. :)

DH is getting His Christmas Pressies early this year.
We're going to see Airbourne at the Junction in Cambridge on 24th November.
Then the following Sunday We see Kid Rock at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.
He asked Me what i wanted for Christmas.
I said a new Kitchen for the Dolls House i intend to start on in the New Year.
Since we are staying home this year and us girls at work are not buying gifts for one another (That got expensive! Plus its like where do you stop buying for without hurting anyones feelings) Doug and I decided we are going to donate money to the Golden Retriever Rescue :), plus we just bought new living room furniture. We will probably get something small for one another but most times, we feel it is just to buy cause it is a holiday.

We are both flying to Oregon to have Christmas with my mom and sister. He asked what I wanted and I honestly hadn't thought about gifts. He keeps threatening to buy me an iPhone, haha. I told him if anything I want a new violin bow, one that's a step up in quality from my current one.

Since our wedding is in Mexico a week after Christmas, we are all skipping gifts this year and having dinner and watching family videos!!!! Those are my favorite things about Christmas!!! :D

Talked to DH last night. I think we'll save the jewelry for our anniversary (August). I really need a PDA for school, so I think that will be my Xmas gift this year. There's this software by PEPID (healthcare software company) called RN Student Clinical Companion that DH is getting for me to load onto the PDA. It has a built in medical dictionary, drug dosage calculator, IV drip rate calculator, etc, etc.....
I'm a dork, I know, but I'm so excited to get this! Practical and useful gifts are my favorite, and I think it'll be invaluable to me in my clinical rotations since we can't lug around books in the hospital. :chimp:
