I do not want names of places that everyone is registering. I would just like to know what it is you are looking for in a place when registering or what made your registering experience excellent?
The reason I ask is because I had a horrible experience with a company during the bridal gift registry. I sent a letter of complaint and my letter made it all the way to the home office in dallas. Now, my complaint was not with the store itself, but the way the gift registry is set up. The lady that I spoke with today told me some things that I just can not believe, so I am trying to see what everyone is looking for or what they think about registries. What is most important when registering? Examples would be: customer service, free gift when registering, personal contact or being able to walk in and do the registry yourself, registering online vs. registering in the store and being able to touch and feel the products. Please let me know what you think and what you are looking for.
Thanks so much!

Mostly, resonable prices, nice staff and ease of access to the guests.

The place we are registering at provided us with cards to put in our invitations to tell guests where we are registering. We looked for a place that will carry our regestry information all the way across the country and that has resonable prices. We were also sold on the fact that we can walk through the store and pick and scan each product that we wish to recieve as a gift without a sales person along the way. Another thing we were looking for was a store that carried "everything" from home furnishings to home appliances and dishes, etc. Hope that helps!
