We had a rough start to the ceremony. We were so busy that we forgot to go set up for the ceremony! The people that were going to do that part ended up not being able to make it early so it was stacked onto our already full plates. We were late getting the ceremony started because they were setting up the arch at the lake.
Once the ceremony started though, EVERYONE disappeared but me, Brian and the minister. I totally forgot there were other people there until it was over.
We went back to our house and the reception turned out really well. The candles and the lights in the trees was sooo pretty. I did put too much rum in the sangria punch, but we fixed it. Everyone loved the menu and the decorations.
We were a little behind schedule leaving the next day for the cabin, but it worked out because I was able to spend a little bit of Mothers Days with my kids.
The honeymoon was great. We talked like we did back in the beginning. We went shopping and looked at antiques. We cooked out on the grill in the cabin and we took the boat out and drank wine while watching the sunset over the water. That had to be the most romantic thing ever!
Im trying to get my pics posted so I can show yall. Hopefully I can do that soon!

Cindy, it sounds like it all worked out for you in the end. Congrats again. And it sounds like your honeymoon went well. I think that J and will end up doing a cabin in the mountains too. I have looked up several places up north, and really like the looks of them. I can't wait!!!!
I am so happy for you Cindy.

Well I have to recommend Busy B Ranch http://www.busybranch.com . It was awsome and pretty reasonable too. It was $80 a night, and that included a secluded cabin with its own stocked fishing pond, nature trails, continental breakfast, little (but full) kitchen with ALL utensils, more towels than you can use, a bbq pit, a pit for bonfires, rocking chairs and porch swing on front porch. We are seriously thinking about getting the bigger cabin during the summer and taking the kids up the for a weekend.
Its in the woods but only 6 miles from Jefferson Texas, and you wouldnt believe the things you can do there. Theres a haunted house tour, steamboat rides down the river, museums, and more antique stores than I knew could exist in one town. I absolutely loved it!!!!!

Wow Cindy your honeymoon sounds like it was awsome! Mark and i are hoping to get our cottage one weekend just the 2 of us. Don't know when we'll do it. But we'd like to try.
I can't wait to see the pictures from your wedding! I can imagine how beautiful all the candles and lights in the trees would have been! I am hoping that i will forget that there is anyone at the ceramony besides MArk and the priests.
Congratulations.
I'm glad it turned out well for you.

I waas jsut wondering if I missed a post about how things went. But hey I foudn it. I am so happy things turned out so good for you. You deserved it. I , along with the others, can't wait to see you pictures. I am glad you had such a good time with every thing. Sound slike the cabin was a great choice. We will have to keep that in mind in the future. Nicholas wants to take me to Texas one day. I have never been. Glad to have you back. Any advice for us getting ready to do the same thing? I only have 17 as of tomorrow. And others are closer then me.

Yeah! Put sticky (Post Its) notes EVERYWHERE (on your bathroom mirror, the rear view mirror in your car, on your closet door, by the stove, I MEAN EVERYWHERE!!!!!) and write on them "Take a DEEP breath and RELAX!" (or any phrase that will remind you to relax) Trust me, you WILL need the reminders! Someone told me about this AFTER the fact! I could have definitely used it the last couple of weeks before mine!

I loooove sticky notes! I use them all the time cause my brain in starting to turn to soup. It's already kinda mushy. he he.
I will definatly need to take the moments to breath. I don't know when it will really hit me that it's SO close. Maybe at the rehersal.
When i get stressed i try to reminde myself that Mark will be there, and as long as we are married by the end of the day.... nothing can go wrong.

I am glad to hear you had such a good time, Cindy. I would love to go to a cabin in the woods. Even if it's not for a honeymoon! It sounds like it was really romantic, especially when you took the boat out at sunset. Can't wait to see pictures.

Hee hee and get a good Officiant who will remind you to breathe! Thats what our JP did, I think I was looking close to passing out and when he told me "Shawna BREATHE!" I realized I was holding my breath and feeling a little woozy!! lol

Jason did that for me! He stood there and rubbed my hands the whole ceremony. It was so sweet! Everyone thought he was going to be the nervous one, and when it came down to it, it was me!
Cindy, your day sounds perfect, even with the delays! I have to admit, once we started the ceremony, everyone disappeared too! Except for the part where I jumped my line and everyone laughed...it was pretty funny. I had two bridesmaids leave in the middle of the ceremony because one of them got sick, and I didn't know at all! I think that's what happens when you're really in love. Congratulations again Cindy! I can't wait to see the pictures!
