I know alot of the girls on here have their weddings coming up really soon. And there are some who have recently had their weddings.
I'm wondering how everyone has been sleeping? I know i have had trouble sleeping for the past 6 months, but it seems to be getting worse. Lack of sleep is the first sign of stress and anxiety problems. I do not feel any more stressed or anxious then before. But i've been up every night for the past couple weeks.
How are you guys doing? Sleeping ok or just as awake as i am?

I dont sleep well either, theres always something i can blame like the exams or assignments but i need to accept that i just dont sleep well anymore lol If i know i really need a clear head the next day tho i take herbal tables to help (not that they seem to do much they do help!) I dread to think what i will be like when it comes near to the wedding tho!

It doesn't get any better!!! I was up at midnight last night and here I am up early at 5 a.m. and it is my day off from work. But so much to do and so little time. Only have today and tomorrow and then Sunday is the wedding day. :D

My sleep has been off lately. I seem to be going to bed earlier, barely sleeping through the night, then getting up REALLY early.
I have noticed I've been stressed a lot because I'm also having problems at work as well. My performance there has been, well... non-existant.
I'll be glad when it is June 25th!

I could have wrote your post, Jenn, that's how much I relate to it. I am not sleeping well at all. I have thought maybe it is something medical, so I did make a doctor's appointment for this morning. We'll see........

I'm sure I will sure myself for saying this now, but I haven't had any sleep problems lately. Now that I said that, I will be up pacing the house all night long.

when my wedding gets closer I know I will have trouble sleeping. Now that school is out I have slept really great. When the semester was still in I had trouble sleeping. I have the rest of next week and then 2 days and it's off to Summer I. Back to sleeping troubles again I'm sure.

Wow, so i'm definatly not a alone. Sorry, but it's nice to hear.
I've bee tossing and turning alot lately. Mark says its crazy and unfortunetly wakes him up a bit. :( Last night i woke up and i was on Marks side of the bed (he wasn't home last night) i was right at the edge. I was tangled in my duevet and my pillow was at my feet. When i awoke i didn't get back to sleep for another 2 hours.
I've been to the Dr. and been given medication because i do have an anxeity disorder. It sometimes helps. But not always. I'm hoping that after the wedding i will sleep better because i really don't want to get more meds.

Hey Jen, first off, congrats on the upcoming wedding, again. 15 days, wow!!
I can say that I haven't slept well in a few months. It's not uncommon for me to wake up several times a night. Not only that, but now I am starting to get cranky at night, and not wanting to cuddle, or even be touched when we are sleeping. That isn't like me. I am a cuddler.
Is there a miracle cure??

GOOD MORNING FELLOW COWGIRL!
Maybe if J bites his lip it'll lead to........and then you can sleep! Just kidding girl! :p
I can't sleep either...I toss and turn and wake up and have to get up and retreive my pillow from the floor...Eric and I don't live together and since he works 2nd shift he'd be coming in around midnight if we did...but come July I'll have to deal with that!
I however have discovered Aveda Products (skin and hair) and bought some Sap Moss shampoo...I have found that if I take a warm bath and wash my hair in it the smell relaxes me and I sleep a little better...just an idea.

Well.......... actually.............I won't go into what makes me sleep better at night!! haha.
I always said that I would never live w another man again until I was married to him, but I just knew that J and I would be married. And I knew it wouldn't be long before that happended, so we moved in together last August, and are getting married this November. When you know, you know.
I suffer from horrible nighmares, and that usually keeps me awake. I watch ER last night, and it was very disturbing, especially since I have worked in the med field for 5 years now. I dreamt last night that I was the main nurse in it, and that everything that happended in the show acutally happened in my house. It wasn't a good night for me.

Jenn, I will be totally honest with you.....I dont think I slept much at all the last couple of weeks before my wedding. My mind was going 100 miles an hour, I had so much I felt like I should be doing. I stayed up VERY late working on wedding stuff. The 1st night of my honeymoon though, I slept like a rock. I dont EVER remember sleeping that hard! Besides I usually dont sleep well in a bed thats not mine!!!

If it helps, try to get yourself on a schedule. Go to be and get up at the same time every night. Your body will catch. I know it won't help to say it but try to relax your mind some too. Do some light reading. Don't watch tv before bed and don't think about the wedding or anything else going on.

The idea of having a bath sounds good.... i will have to try that. I can't read right now because i can not get my innner monolog to stop talking so i can understand what i am reading. It sounds really bizzar i know. I do have the TV on at night when i go to bed. Usually because Mark isn't ready to go to sleep since he just got home and its one of the few moments we get to curl and bve quiet. I usually roll so that my back is to the TV so i only hear a bit of it and can see the flicker which i find very calming.
I'm thinking i want to try the Sleepy Time Tea. See if that helps at all. It's just about 1pm and i am already yawning my face off.

I have been known to get up at 1 am to take a warm shower to calm me enough to sleep.
Tylenol PM works too, but I don't like to do that much. I am not a person who likes to take ANY meds, but if I really really need it, it works like a champ too.

Mark is worried about me taking anything over the counter that my Dr. hasn't said is ok with the meds i am currently taking.
I'll be picking up some tea and bubble bath this weekend. :D

I have to be honest, I never had problems sleeping before the wedding. my problem is that I get stressed and depressed and I sleep TONS more!!
I agree that you maybe shouldn't take anything with your other meds. But I also say that that sleepy time tea is wonderful! It has helped me sleep a lot of times.
Good luck Jenn!!

I have problems sleeping when I"m stress. And it seems like I"m stressed all the time with work. I have never heard of this Sleepy Time tea. I normally try to relax with a cup of tea every night, so I think I might look into that also. Can you get that at any store?

I always buy it at the grocery store but I am sure a health food store should have something like it if they don't have it.
