Very frustrated

I found a really cool site listed on Onewed that has officiants and photographers. So, we set up a meeting with one of the ministers, actually it seems like he's the one that runs most of it. He even said he'd take free engagement pictures. So I was very excited. We set up the meeting for 7:00 tonight, so I'd have time to come back home and get ready for work.

It's now 6:08, and I don't know when Eddie is going to be done with work. Not only that, but he was supposed to get a haircut last night, and being a typical guy, he did not. So he's got really shaggy hair... and he was going to go tonight. So much for that. Now we'll be lucky if we even make it there on time.

And it's not just that... we're being typical "us" and we're not prepared at all, anyway... we have the clothes we would wear, but I can't find any dressy socks or shoes.

So apparently we're going to be late, bare-footed, and shaggy haired for meeting with the person who will probably be marrying us.

Basically at this point, I've given up on the pictures, and I'm kind of hoping that we can either set that up for another time... or set up an actual engagement session with the photographer we choose. There's one that seems really awesome on their site that I want to go with, and it seems like she could come up with creative ideas... which is more what I wanted for our engagement pictures, anyway, than studio ones. But it still really isn't cool that we can't take advantage of his offer to do some, tonight.

Ohhhh well... things happen. When we set it up again, I'll just have to make sure we have 10 pairs of socks each and a couple pairs of shoes each lined up...haha.

The meeting went very well. We're going to book both the minister and photographer... interestingly enough, they're husband and wife. I didn't know that before. They also have other ministers and photographers on their site, but I was interested in those two before, anyway. We didn't take the pictures, but they didn't mention it to us again..haha. I think I might have my sister's friend take some pictures in the spring for us.

Yeah, you've got plenty of time for photos! :) I soooo know what you mean about "being us" too - we're never ready for those kind of moments either. Glad your meeting went well and you found people you want to work with.

Hehe, I know that feeling! I looked pretty horrid while meeting all of my vendors in person... I had sunburn and my hair was all messed up!

But as long as you look beautiful on the wedding day, it's all that matters!
