My DIY Bridesmaid Tote Bags **Lots of Pics**

So here is the latest project that I have been working on over the past week. I decided to hand paint the tote bags that I will be giving my bridesmaids. The bags will be filled with oriental slippers, a journal, their jewelry for the wedding and some spa products. I looked online and never found a tote bag that I really liked... so you know me.... I did them myself. Here are a few pics of the step by step process. Oh I almost forgot. I purchased the canvas bags for about $1.79 each from Michaels with my 40% coupons!
I first made a stencil and cut it out:

Then I traced the stencil onto the bag:

I also stenciled my girls names onto th bag... and here's the finished product:

I think they came out fantastic! I also stenciled our names on the back with the date... (don't have a pic of the back yet)

I used Tulip brand Soft Fabric Paint! about $1.49 a bottle.

same here... i purchased my totes a while ago for 2 dollars each, but have yet to do anything to them...
