May I introduce the newest member of the family. My Great-niece.

Ellia Cate
18 inches long
6 lbs 7oz
and a month early

I guess she wanted to spend some time with her Dad before he has to leave for Iraq in December. When my sisters sends me pictures I will share with you guys. At the last ultra sound they could see hair so they should be cute.

When my mom called this morning to spread the good news at 7:30am :bbeek: Everyone was doing well. 2:30 this morning she decided that she wanted out. She had to be delivered C-section since my niece is a tiny little thing. Jenny is also a Type 1 diabetic so it was very high risk.
found out her name means "God heard my prayer" in Hebrew. Haven't heard yet how her big brother Asa is taking her arrival. He is a year and a half and has been joined at the hip with his mom up till this point, should be interesting.

He's gonna love His Baby Sister to bits. If Mum involves Him in cuddles and bath times then all will be good in the world. :D

I used to do a lot of Babysitting as a teenager and i made a point to saying Hello to the older kids before i went over to the Baby. Baby doesn't know You are there. But the Older ones notice these things.

I thought Our Grandson would throw a fit at the Wedding when He realised there was another baby there. (He's Two and Our Friends Son is 8 Months) But Grandson was over the moon and tried to share toys and food with Him.

Her big brother Asa was playing and heard her make noise in the bassinet. He went and got his mom (he isn't very verbal yet) and took her over to the bassinet. He calls her Pooh.

My newest Great niece!

I got to rock her to sleep several times and she loved to sit and talk. She is only 6 weeks old (3wks if you go by her due date) and already she is trying to hold her head up. Very Vocal and loves to "talk".
