Anyone have any good ideas for DIY favors for a black and white halloween wedding?

I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I would suggest going to stores after Halloween when that stuff is on clearance, like the Halloween candles and decorations. And also, something that might fun to look into is Halloween related crafts... either in Google or in books. Sometimes even kids crafts have really cool projects that are easy to do.

I found this on about.com. But you could make these with your FH and your silhouettes.

I was just floored by these silhouette cookies I spotted today. Wouldn't they be just incredible as wedding favors? I love using silhouettes in a wedding - they're like a more personal monogram, but far less stiff.
Melissa from on the Good Apple (http://thegoodapple.blogspot.com/2008/10/sneak-peak.html) made these to sell at a benefit for Christian and Stephanie Nielsen (http://web.me.com/andrewtbagley/NieRecovery/About.html), an Arizona couple injured in a horrific plane crash. Their tale has inspired huge outpourings of support from the blog community; talented Melissa made these and hand-piped them. (My hand is aching in sympathy!) Fortunately, she does custom orders for those of us not quite as talented.
If you're looking to make the cookies yourself and save some money, but you don't have those piping skills, there is an easier solution. Read more... (http://weddings.about.com/b/a/256591.htm)

The ghost and sillhouette cookies are really cute, and the ideas about candy corn and checking the halloween shops and such after halloween, that's all really great! Maybe I can incorporate them all!

You might also be able to find a candy mold, for suckers or something like that, and do them in black and white.
Here are a few that I found.

This website has a ton of molds!
Here's the direct link for all of the wedding molds.

And here's the link for the halloween molds. And, you could do some of them in white chocolate and some in milk or dark chocolate. Or, you could even make the chocolates two layers and have white chocolate on the bottom and milk/dark on the top or vice versa. You could even do all of them if you wanted to! Then, you could get little clear candy bags (at Walmart and Michaels for pretty cheap) and just put the chocolates in them. You could finish them off by tyeing (sp??) a black or white ribbon around them to seal them up.

I don't know if you're a fan of Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, but I think something with them would be sooooo cute for a Halloween wedding. :grinhappy:
