I use a Nikon D50 with the 18-55mm lens that came in the kit and I'm fairly certain all of the above were taken with the kit lens. I also have a Nikon 70-300mm but I'm dying for a macro lens and the SB600 additional flash.

Very nice. Macro lenses are so awesome for that close up work.

My dream setup right now is:

Canon EOS 40D w/ Canon 24-70mm f2.8L lens. I'm saving towards it.

The next lens after that is a tossup between a wide-angle, or a telephoto that I actually COULD do some closeup work with, though a macro would be better.

Until then...I'm dealing with my old Sony Cybershot. Heh.

Oh, how I envy your gorgeous fall colors! It's still pretty green around here. We just got our first cold snap.

Be thankful that photography is just a hobby for you, or you'd be spending all your money on it. I am having to seriously restrain myself from getting a 70-200 and a ring light...and it's really hard because they both have practical applications for my business!

The 70-200 gets rented for every wedding we do, but it would sure be nice to have that baby on a daily basis. Too bad it's almost equal in price to the camera body we'd put it on!

The ring light I am also super excited about. I want it bad, bad, bad, both for macro shots (hello, crappy jewelry photos!) and for the photobooth we set up at weddings. Also, just for fun because I love the look of the ring light. The good camera mounted ones are pretty expensive. I want this so bad I have looked into doing a DIY one with freaking Christmas lights (and I will probably at least attempt that before laying down serious dough).

My husband is also pushing for the new Canon 5D Mark II. :bbeek: Also very tempting, as we need a new backup camera and I'd like to retire our XTi into that service (and inherit the 5D Mark I).

Add all of this into a business credit card with a high limit...and you've got danger. Serious danger! :winktongue:
