Would you put your hand in the toilet for your e-ring?

If you were dropping your engagement ring in the toilet just before you flush what would you do? Would you get it from down there?
I thought about this poll when this morning I nearly dropped it and I was next to the toilet, I though Oh My! thanks God I didnt drop it!

So, what would you do?

I don't have an e-ring, but if I dropped something I valued I would go in after it. You can always wash your hands and clean whatever it was you dropped.

I've fished out lesser things I've dropped in there, so of course I would get the ring, haha. That said, I would probably try to get it out with something other than my hand first.

Working in healthcare, I've had my hands in worse places. A little soap and water fixes up any messes I might incounter....but YUCK!!!

Considering I dug through nasty bathroom garbage when I thought there was just a possibility I dropped it in there, I'd definitely fish it out of the toilet. I'd be a little scared it'd go further down in there than most objects, though 'cause it's got a little weight to it, and it's so small. Hopefully it never happens!

Heck yeah, I also work in the health field and my hands have been much dirtier at work than they would be if i was fishing my e ring out of the toilet.

Did you guys ever see that episode of That 70's Show where they go searching through the forest to find Donna's ring? Yep, that would be me. So, compared to that, fishing my hand down a toilet would be nothing. However, as previously mentioned, I would find something else to get it out with first.

Haha. I love some of these answers! I think, so far anyways, this is the only unanimous poll I've seen!! I would surely try to get mine out too. That's too much sentiment...and money, to go down the drain!

If there was nothing in the bowl, I would stick my hand in there in a heartbeat for my ring. If there was, um, waste in there, then yes I still would of course, but I would be doing the girly scream of "Ew, ick ick agh! Wahhhhhhhh!" the whole time. I would probably also be doing the cry-laugh-dry retch thing. You know what I mean, when you're doing something really disgusting and you don't know whether to laugh or cry or vomit so you do all three? Yeah, that'd be me, I reckon.

I have a 6 year old so I've had to fish several things out of our commode, cars, gi joes, ect... so I'd definitely do it for my ring!

I'm a student nurse. You'd be surprised how disgustingly dirty your e-rings are already, without being dunked in a toilet. (I swabbed my ring when I took microbiology....you don't want to know what microbes came up on my test! YUCK) So....yes I would get it.....I've done more disgusting things than that in the lovely world of nursing. :D

I would do whatever it takes to get my ring back! It would break my heart if I lost it. Not to mention how naked I would feel. And I would never tell my DH that I lost the ring he bought for me for $5000 +/- to show how much he loved me. I would dive in lips first no matter what!

I would definately reach in there to get it back, I sure as heck ain't flushing it down the comode!
If there were anything really unmentionable in there I'd use gloves but other wise that's what soap & water are for!:)
