Amy&Derrick's Wedding Weekend!

So it's already been 2 weeks since we've been married (10/04/08) omg!! I love it, it's amazing!

So the Wed. before the wedding is when things really got down to business...I went and got my hair dyed and found out my friend (who does my hair) is pregnant!! I started crying, I'm so happy for her. Then I spent my afternoon with the MIL and we shopped and bought last minute stuff for the wedding.

Then Thursday I went to lunch with my MOH, we ran around and did last minute errands, and then I got my spray tan...omg never again, it looked awesome but felt so gross!! hahaha We also made the cupcakes for the rehearsal dinner, I have a pic, but not uploaded yet. We made a graveyard (as the grooms cake) and it was sooooo cute!!

Friday was crazy!! My phone started ringing at about 10:00am and didn't stop all day!! My bridesmaid luncheon was at 11:00 and it was the first time I had all 4 of my girls together, since 2 are OOT, so it was amazing!! We spent about 2 hours there and then we had to go pick up my cousin @ the airport. Then me and 2 BM went to the mall to do last minute shopping...then I was stressed hard so we went and had a drink!! At like 2 in the afternoon!!

Then we still had to get ready for the rehearsal/dinner which was at 5...needless to say we were about 20 min. late for that! oops!!

The dinner was okay....good fun though!

Then my BM and me grabbed all the wedding stuff and took it up to the hotel hoping we could start decorating just a little bit and then I stayed in the hotel room with my MOH and 1 BM.

So we got the hotel around 10:00pm or so and were hoping to at least decorate half the room, cause the other half was being used so it had to be cleaned and set up, so we had to do that side in the morning.

We had a couple people helping us which really was a good thing!

So they opened up the second room and started setting up for the wedding....so we just kept decorating!!! We were actually able to get the entire room decorated that night!! We were so excited we wouldn't have to bother with anything in the morning!

We were up till 1:00am decorating but it all got done! We were soooo happy!!

So my BM, MOH and I went up to our room and tried to lay down and sleep...yeah pretty sure I was so awake!! But I made myself try and sleep....I got about 4 or 5 hours of sleep!

I woke up Saturday at about 6:00am and laid there for a little while but then I got up to go to the bathroom and my MOH heard me...so I jumped into bed with her (my BM was still asleep) and we laid there and giggled and talked before we decided we were hungry...so at 7:30am we got in my car and drove to the grocery store and picked up OJ and bagels!

We got back in time to meet a couple GM that came to help decorate...but we had to break the news to everyone that showed up bright and early that it was all done already!!

After a couple hours of mingling with them all me and the girls went upstairs to shower before the makeup and hair people started to show up.

Once they all started to arrive time just flew by!!! We had 2 people doing the BM hair my PA doing my hair and one person doing all 5 of our makeup!! But in the end we all looked absolutely amazing!!!

We were supposed to start photos at 1:00....me and my BM got there at about 1:45!! So he just shot the guys first...the downside of the day, it was super super windy and almost impossible to take decent photos in the open.

We traveled downtown in the alleys where we could be blocked by the wind more...I can't wait till we get those back!!

My favorite moment at this time was when my BM and I arrived at the first photo location where the guys already had been, we walked by the GM because he had derrick farther down the path with his back turned so he couldn't see me....but I gazed over at the GM as I walked by and my big 6'2" older brother was crying...it makes me tear up just thinking about that moment. It was absolutely amazing...

Then I got to Derrick and they turned him around and we immediately embraced....he looked absolutely amazing!

We spent the next couple hours taking photos before the ceremony...it was so amazing to see people as they started arriving for family photos.

Then we had about a half hour before the ceremony to hang out in the tent we set up while guests started to arrive....then the weather started doing some crazy things...

It would start to pour rain...then it cleared up...it was super windy....then it would rain...then it would stop. It was so insane!! Then there was a rainbow! Our poor guests were running for cover and then going back to sit on wet chairs...we were so lucky how much these amazing people stuck in there with us!!

Then everything was going as planned....then it was my turn to walk with my parents. I thought I was gonna pee myself!! I honestly never want to feel the nerves I had at that time ever again! I was soooo nervous...then I saw everyone that came...then I looked down the aisle at Derrick.

He was bawling...I instantly felt not nervous anymore...I just wanted to be up there with him.

The ceremony went pretty well...D cried through most of it and it was so sweet...I cried too...it was wonderful. The only bad thing was the wind was so bad it messed up our PA system and it was hard to hear the pastor and us...but we all survived.

Then I had this amazing idea to have petal cones toss dried flower petals at us after the ceremony....well it was so windy all the petals came flying at us instead!! It was awesome!!

Now our cake looked amazing, tasted amazing, and was rumored to cost $6000....(it really cost $450)...but the thing is as we were cutting it, the cake knife actually broke! I let out this huge belly laugh, it was amazing!

Here the garter stuff....we tried to rig it so my uncle would end up getting it...he's mentally handicapped and he ALWAYS gets the garter!! The fight for the garter ensued between him and my 11 yr old cousin!!
