Check out One Wed's the new look - www.onewed.com

It is still in "beta" so there will be some "bugs" and some of things may not work right. But all the stuff we had and lots of new stuff will be coming with the new look!

The boards will have a similar new look soon too :D

I don't want to step on any toes... but I don't like it. :bbredface: I'll get adjusted to it, I'm just not big on change when I'm used to something. Change scares me. :worm:

ETA: Is there a reason that it shows up like that for me already? Seems like no one else sees it like this. I'm confused. I was expecting to see a bunch of comments about it when I logged in this morning, cause I saw the change right away, but I saw nothing.

Jenna - I think it might be because I haven't logged out since I joined? I'm permanently logged in on my home computer.

Let me try logging out for a bit to see if the changes appear.

EDIT: No change. :purplex: I don't know why you get to see it and nobody else does!

I just tried that too and nothing. Maybe it is rolling out bit by bit, randomly adding more and more users?

I like it, too. This post even inspired me to look more at the main page, when I've only usually looked at the message boards. I was looking up vendors and found what looked like a great one... and then the whole page stopped loading. Onewed won't load and the page of the vender won't load, but other pages load in 2 seconds. Grrr, technology can be very frustrating! But I will be back when it starts working again (it's probably my connection).

My first glimpse of OW was the Forum Message Boards and here i've stayed. :winktongue:

I was looking for a post about this yesterday morning, too, because I had noticed the change, but no one said a peep.

I think the main page looks great! My only complaint is I like being able to click on the Forum tab to see the most recent posts and now I have to go directly to the forums page.

Then from the main forums page you can still click the "New Posts (http://forums.onewed.com/search.php?do=getnew)" link at the top ;)

Yes, I see the change already. Not here in the forums, yet. I have the site bookmarked, but I have it bookmarked as http://www.onewed.com/chat I've always been brought to the screen where I can see "Today's Posts" and I browse through those posts first, before I click on "user cp" or "New posts".(See? I'm very methodical and set in my ways) Now I'm brought to that page, where I have to click on Communities to get to the main index, or I can click on one of the sub-forums.

So, yeah, I don't like not KNOWING where I'm clicking, you know? It's just a thing with me. You should have seen me when Faceboko changed! Still not happy with it. :grinhappy:

Um.

Ok, so in theory I like the new colors and design and all that, but I have kind of a big problem . . . well, make that a small, squishy problem!

The green leafy background and the white header are squishing the actual forum into the middle of my computer screen. This makes it pretty difficult to read.

Also now I have to scroll to get to the top links, ie, user cp, faq, etc. which I didn't have to do before. And I have to scroll down to see the rest of the page. I dislike scrolling up and down to see everything on a webpage and it's my understanding that it's really bad HTML etiquette.

is it just me? I would love this if it didn't affect my user experience so much. But as it is, I'm finding it really hard to read.

I think I see what you're talking about, Whitewater. I was just coming here to say that it is kind of hard to read messages because the message seems squished into the white space. There's not enough white space on the outside of the words in the message for the eyes to relax in between readings things. (I think that's how it was described to us in a class once.) Maybe if the message part is made a little bigger, it'd be easier to read.

Having said that, I do like the new design. It looks very classy and snazzy.

Eh, I'm not wild about it. The light blue text is super hard for me to read. I like the leafy design though :)

I have to say I like the new look and feel of the site. It's pleasant on the eyes, easy to navigate, and just overall better looking then most sites.
Plus the new rating system for vendors is excellent idea. That way you know your getting a great vendor. However if I may suggest, a vendor to vendor rating also (have seen this on another site once).

I'm of course the difficult one - I liked it better when it was narrower. There's too much 'white space' IMO... but it still looks great compared to what it was!! :D

Yea!

I love this look now :) And I like that they fixed the name of the board -- for a while my email was having issues with the words 'free' and 'registry' in the same title, it thought your guys' emails were spam. LOL!

Glad it's all getting fixed.
