So Matt and I went to a movie on Sunday night and at the theater there was a guy who was there and he stopped Matt to talk with him. He gave him a flyer to get into this private movie screening there and it is tonight! We had to RSVP and such. The movie isn't rated yet and I'm assuming there will be like a survey afterwards about the movie or something.
Also I'm curious to see if there will be a camera crew there or something because it basically says if you are drunk you can't come. Which okay makes since, you cannot really give your feedback if you are drunk, but it also says that you cannot be dirty, or dressed improperly. So I wonder if they will be filming people afterwards asking questions about what they thought about the movie?
Also it says, "You consent to a physical serach of your belongings and person. You can assist us by leaving all bags and cameras at home or in your vehicle." You can't even bring in a cell phone that has any picture taking or video taking capablities. Especially since the movie isn't being released yet. I just looked it up and it says it will be at the theaters starting November 14th.
The movie is "Soul Men" This is the description: In this outrageous comedy, two former backup soul singers Louis (Samuel L. Jackson) and Floyd (Bernie Mac) travel cross country to perform at a tribute concert in honor of their famous band leader. Tehy haven't spoken to each other in 20 years but reluctantly agree to travel together for hte tribute performance. As they revisit the past and make their way to New York's legendary Apollo Theater for their performance hilarity ensues.
The film is unrated.
Also it says you must be between 17-54 to attend. We have to arrive 45 mins early.
I'm hoping for some free popcorn ;) I'll let you girls know how it went. Though who knows with all of the privacy we may have to sign something saying we won't tell about the movie or something, who knows. I'm excited though!
