:bbconfused: Hello, everyone, my colors are chocolate brown, champagne and ivory, and I am looking for a color scheme for my flowers, anyone? I was also interested in calla lillies or ivory roses, just trying to accent the chocolate brown, pleeeeze help!!!!

I think peach would be a lovely color choice to accent the chocolate brown color. it would bring out all the other colors as well. use it for accent only and it should look elegant. i would have never thought of brown. have you ever thought of going to a paint store and using one of those color wheels to check out what goes best with the chocolate brown? they do this all the time on the home improvement shows to pick accent colors. it is a thought anyway!! give it a try and let me know how it turns out.

THANKS FOR THE IDEA, I WILL GO THERE TODAY, AFTER TAKING MY MATRON OF HONOR TO DAVIDS BRIDAL!!! I THINK THE PEACH WILL BE A GOOD CHOICE, I WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT COLOR, BUT IS THAT TOO MANY COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM? I WILL SEND YOU A PICTURE OF MY DRESS. I MIGHT ALSO NEED HELP WITH THE COLOR COORDINATION OF MY ATTENDANTS, I JUST KNOW WHAT COLORS TO USE, STILL NEED HELP:bbcry:

Depending on when your wedding is, you have several options. If it is in the fall or winter I would go with a dep orange or yellow gold accent. Maybe, you could even pull off a deeper red. If it is in the sprint or summer look at peach, soft pink, or even a pale lavender.

The latest issue of Modern Bride shows a table set in aqua, coral and brown -- this combo of colors is so IN right now. Peach is a similar hue as coral, so you ladies have definitely got the right idea.

We are getting married September 10, 06. I really wanted something elegant and not "cheesy" so that is why kept flowers with all white. We are doing chocolate brown linens with ivory runners so there will be some color in the room and not all white which can look washed out.

I like the peach idea too though. I think light pink/peach goes so well with brown. I am not sure if you are sending invites out etc. but there is a large number of really nice stationary/invites/place cards etc. out there right now with chocolate brown and pink. If you want it all to tie in.

My problem is with the men now. I worry that beige/champagne ties/vests will look too "wedding" and I want elegant but black seems so boring. Any thoughts?

My maids are all wearing chocolate brown and I chose to go with all white/ivory flowers for my September wedding. Calla, Orchids etc. I just don't know what to put the men in? Black tux but not sure tie/vest etc.

You could do a lighter color brown for the guys vests and ties. I am doing a medium shade of brown for my BM dresses. I went with a slightly lighter color for the guys so the brown didn't blend in too much with the block of the tuxes.

Oh that sounds perfect in lighter brown. Are you doing long ties or bowties? My fiance wants long ties.Are they wearing matching vests? I was thinking the groomsmen just in long ties and groom in tie with either black or matching color vest. Do you know what company makes them in a nice shade?
The guys will be wearing the long ties with matching vests. Here is a link to the vest. The color is slightly lighter then it shows on the computer.

Then FH will be wearing the same tie and vest, only in Ivory. It matches with my dress, which is ivory also.

Oh I like the idea of the groom (is that what FH means?) wearing ivory vest and tie. My dress is ivory too. hmmm. What color shirt does he wear then? Thanks for the help. I guess I have to make my way to a tux store.

Yes FH stand for Future Husband/Groom.

Our guys are all just wearing white dress shirts. I figure once you get the coat, tie and vest on, it all covers the shirt anyway. Glad I could help you out. Let me know what you decide to go with for the tuxes!
