How We Met
We went to the same high school and we knew of each other through mutual friends, but we didn’t really know each other. Everyone these days has a myspace, he found me on myspace and added me as a friend, not thinking anything of it. One day he posted up an “emo” bulletin about how he’s so alone and women suck and all that. So I just messaged him asking if he was okay and if he needed to talk I’d be happy to talk to him. I had no intention of asking him out or anything. We messaged each other for a little bit and I gave him my screen name. We talked there until like 3am, and eventually he asked me on a date. And the rest is history! We've been together for a wonderful 2.5 years!


His version:
On a cold and stormy night while browsing on a infamous site called myspace, I see that I have a message in my inbox. I think, “What the hell?” I never get messages so I look to see who it is and it’s this “Hispanic” girl asking me what’s wrong? And if I wanna talk about it. (My profile used to say that I’m Hispanic, because I’m half Hispanic and half white. But he doesn’t think it counts because I don’t speak Spanish.) My first reaction was umm what is she talking about, then I remember that I filled out some bulletin earlier. So a light bulb turned on. And I wrote back to her. We wrote each other a couple times on myspace then she decided to give me her aim name (I guess she liked me :bbwink:). We spoke on aim that night for hours upon hours. Didn’t go to sleep til like 3 in morning (didn’t matter to me, I was a BUM). (He didn’t have a job at the time.) We spoke about everything from what we do to what kind of ketchup we like. (We both like Whataburger ketchup.) I even had the guts to ask her our that same night cause I felt we had so much in common. Next day she text me, and we fast forward to today, engaged and in love.

The Proposal
we had bought each other rings for our 2 year anniversary and his ring came a little early, but mine was taking forever! this is the one i picked out.

i starting asking about my promise ring, like I had been doing for the past week or so. here's how it happened.

me: do you have my ring?
vic: no
me: you promise?
*silence*
me: you promise?
vic: no....
another moment of silence
vic: marry me
i started tearing up
me: you serious?

vic nods his head. and then i kiss him. then i'm thinking, hey! i forgot to say yes lol. so i'm like yes. hehe. he was gonna wait til we went to san antonio or louisiana, but i'm too impatient. plus the day before, we were looking for something, and i started looking in his drawers... and he got all pissed. i was like, my ring's in there huh?! it is. well i think it is. lol. i'm just so impatient.

my colors are probably going to be hot pink, black, and white. (i had to compromise with my FH, they were gonna be pink, orange, and yellow.)

this saturday we are taking a week long vacation to NY/NJ/Washington DC to visit some mutual friends. and i asked our friend to take our engagement pics because he's pretty into photography. so we'll see how that goes!

some engagement pics. prob will take more later though. this was from our trip to see some friends in NJ/NYC. our wedding is in the summer so we were out there in the freezing cold with no jackets! but it was fun. my FH isn't a very good picture taker. when the camera was on him, he turned into a robot. but these are some of the best pics.

thanks everyone! i'm so glad you like the pics! i was kind of worried since we were only going with a friend rather than an actual professional photographer.

and the traffic was actually stopped at the the traffic light. we just moved back so you couldn't tell. :grinhappy:
