How about this one -

Ingredients
3 large granny smith apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 large egg
1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions
1Put apples in the bottom of a lightly greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
2Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon and egg until it looks like coarse cornmeal.
3Sprinkle topping over the apples.
4Pour melted butter over the entire dish.
5Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
6Serve with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.

I have not tried it, but it looks pretty easy.

I think I would go the even easier route and use canned apple pie filling though ;) I bet you could even get refridgerated pie crust and cut that into peices and layer on top.

Edit: Here is another for just the dough on top ...

Prepare fruit as usual. Then mix one cup flour, one cup sugar and dash of salt; drop in one egg and 1/2 egg shell of water (no shell, just water). Mix and drop by spoon over fruit. Bake at 350 degrees until dough is golden brown.

The first one from Recipe Zaar (http://www.recipezaar.com/103032) said it served 6, but had a thing where you could change it to make for more.

1 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar (yes, again)
2 Tablespoons flour (yes, again)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups thinly sliced cooking apples

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 1 cup flour and 1/3 cup sugar in medium bowl. Cut in butter, using pastry blender or crisscrossing 2 knives, until crumbly. Press in ungreased square pan 9x9x2 inches. Bake 25 minutes. (This is the crust)

2. Mix 1/3 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and the cinnamon in medium bowl. Stir in apples to coat. Spoon over baked layer (crust). Sprinkle with crum topping (see below).

3. Bake 35-40 minutes or until topping is light brown and apples are tender. Cool completely. For bars, cut into 4x4 rows.

CRUMB TOPPING
2/3 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter

Mix until crumbly with pastry blender or crisscrossing 2 knives.

*This receipe only makes 16 pieces, but is really sweet, so you only need one!!

This is my mom's receipe. OMG. Its FH's favorite!! I buy a store bought crust. I don't even hace a receipe for one. Thats what my mom is for. :grinhappy:

Preheat oven 375 degrees

Prepare Topping:
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 (5 1/3 Tablespoon) butter

Cut in until crumbly using pastry blender or knives, set aside. This is where you would prepare your pie crust if so desired. Keep the crust cold while preparing the rest.

Prepare Filling:
6 1/2 - 7 cups thinly sliced apples
1/2 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Mix well and let it all sit in the bowl for about 5 minutes, then pour into unbaked pie crust. Top with struesel topping.

Bake on pizza pan or cookie sheet (as some of the filling oozes out) for 50-60 minutes or until topping is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
