I want to write a thank you note to all the guests and include it in the OOT baskets. What have you girls done for this? Should I hand-write each one to make it more personal, or make it a printed generic thank you card to put in each basket?

I was thinking of possibly putting like a gift tag on the baskets with something just as simple as:

Thank you for coming to share this special day with us. We hope that you enjoy your stay and enjoy your time at our celebration as we begin our new life together!

I havent' decided on whether to handwrite or print them but I guess that would depend on how many you would have to do.

I think it would depend on how many you have to do as well. If you only have 10 or so buckets to do, then handwriting a short note wouldn't be a big deal. However if you're like Danielle and EVERYONE is out of town, then it might be easier to print them out and then just sign them yourselves.

I had the cards printed, like a post card and DH and I hand signed all of them. If you want to see a picture, let me know. :)

I printed gift tags, but also had a "newsletter" type of thing with a thank you and list of things to do in the area.

For my OOT gift boxes I put a home made book type thing in it. The first page was a personal note thanking them. The next 4 pages had things to do in NY in them. the next 6 pages introduced the bridal party. Each page had their picture and a tiny blurb about them. Last page had contact information and addresses to each venue.

But I only had 4 OOT boxes. :D

If you want to write a handwritten note and you have the time and energy to do so, I say go for it... but I would suggest you write it on a blank little card or something you can pick-up at Wal-Mart or anything for a couple of bucks.

As a further note, I think you taking the time to handwrite a thank you means a lot to people. :D

Depending on how many people end-up staying on the rooms we block, I will probably just print a tag and attach it to each hotel bag.

I'm probably just going to print off a note with directions to the church and other logistical information, but then hand write a quick little "Thank you for being a part of our celebration" on the bottom and sign them all personally. I'll have a lot more people coming from out of town than will be getting bags because most of them will be staying with in-town family, so I'm probably going to write them a separate little note to be mailed to them afterwards.

I've actually created a "Pre-Mexico brochure that we are sending out at the end of November, and a "Welcome to Mexico" brochure to put in their OOT bags when they arrive. They are both full of useful information, and was a perfect spot to thank everyone for coming.

BarceloMayaPalaceBride- that is such a great idea! If my area was somewhere cool like that, I'd definitely have to make a brochure. Unfortunately, there isn't much to do around the hotel and I'll probably just have to include a map to the wedding and a thank you note.
