Last night i moved My Dollshouse from one side of the Lounge to the other so it doesn't get knocked over during the Wedding Reception. It took Me months to build it and furnish it. So i've had this dread that someone will go flying during the dancing. Then the Dollshouse looks like it's been struck by a Hurricane.
Anyhow,
During the move one of the Window Boxes fell off. So this morning i decided to glue it back.
Now here's the Daftie Bit.
I went and glued not only the Widnow Box back onto the front.
But i also glued My Fingers to the Window Box and was stuck there laughing my head off like some crazy woman.
So now i'm walking around with Superglue on My fingers trying to wear it off. :bbeek:
But the house looks great LOL.

When I was an assistant RA, my RA had to go to a wedding and put me in charge of making the name signs for all our girls. Well we were putting little tiny clothespins on them, maybe an inch long and 5 centimeters wide, so girls could clip up notes, etc. I can tell you how many times I glued my fingers together, to the clothespin, to the frame the clothespin went on. Apparently I didn't learn my lesson after the first dozen and by the end of the night, my fingers hurt so bad from pulling them apart, pulling them off of things, pulling things off of them, etc.

I've SO done that before.
Also, when I used the clear caulk in my shower I had a similar situation/problem/mess. :)
Glad the house looks great!

Just because I'm sure Mitch won't have time to get pictures up with everything going on! If you go to her Journal on the first page she has a picture of the lovely black dress you can see the doll house in the background. It's so cute!

I'd love to see your dollhouse! My mom and I made a three-story Victorian-style dollhouse together! I shingled the roof, and it took me ages to finish! Our 12-lb cat decided it would be a good place to take a nap one day, and the whole thing caved in on him! If he wasn't stuck inside, hissing and spitting when we found him, we probably wouldn't have forgiven him!
Eeek, you're getting married tomorrow, lady! :D Congratulations!

Oh I love your dollhouse! I want to start something like that for each of my nieces.
It can be a very expensive hobby. We started building it in November. (Early Christmas Pressie) and Finished it in April. I know Real Houses to go up in less time LOL.
Most of the furniture is from eBay. The Wallpaper is real house paper that i cut to fit. The Lino in the Bathroom, The Nursery and Sewing Room i "Borrowed" from work when the Hotel had a re-fit. And the Carpet in the Bedroom came from the same source. I've still got to fit flowers in the Window Boxes and Coving in all the rooms.
All in all it came to Approx £400. ($800) :bbeek:
Then i start on My new House. This time i'm going to do "Modern" with Leather Sofas, Plasma TV's, Laptops, Fitted Wardrobes and Kitchen etc.
And doing Modern is even more expensive.
This is the New House. Will start it sometime soon.
