I had a question. As I'm checking up with some people, I have found that they never received their invites. Now, I live in the Columbus, Ohio area and most of the invites I sent out were in Columbus. However, I sent invites to other states such as Maryland, Florida, and Alabama and those people have recieved theirs and the people in Maryland have already returned their response cards. The people in Columbus should have recieved theirs the next day.

My question is, has this happened to anyone else? Now I'm wondering who all hasn't recieved theirs... Should I start calling people to see if they recieved theirs? Or should I wait until a couple days before my deadline to call and say, "Hey did you get my invite?"

Thanks =)

My advice is to not call people until the deadline passed. If you run into them or happen to be talking to them then maybe bring up the fact that you sent out the invite and ask if the got theirs in the mail. The fact of the matter is, people aren't always in a hurry to get RSVPs back to you. They need to see if they can get a sitter, get the day off, ect. That takes a week or two sometimes. People are just in general buys in our soceity and things like this take time. Don't be so impatient. My deadline is tomorrow and I still have 80+ people that I haven't heard from yet. It isn't a big deal. You invites got there just fine, I'm sure of it.

We had the same thing happen to us. Many of the people who lived in the area did not receive their invitations. Just wait until after the deadline and give them a call (if you don't already know by word of mouth). There's nothing you can do if the mail lost it (I know...I work in shipping). I would try to make sure that everyone knows where the ceremony is though.
