What is everyone doing for their honeymoon? If you aren't going right away, do you plan on going sometime in the near future? And if so, where?

Please share all details including where you are staying? What's included? Price, if you feel comfortable etc.

We went to Hawaii and I believe the trip came to about four or five thousand dollars. Luckily my Dh's family payed all the flights and hotels for us! (their gift to us!) We first went to the Big Island and stayed at the hilton. It was beautiful there but very expensive to eat at the hotel. Then after three days we flew to Maui and stayed at the Konopali Beach Hotel (I think thats what it was called) the hotel there sucked and the rooms were kinda gross however once we got our honey moon upgrade the room was much nicer and we got packages of cookies left on our bed at night from the turn down service! Those were yummy cookies! lol. I think we ended up spending about two thousand dollars on food, drinks, souveniers, and activities while we were there. It definately wasn't cheap but it was worth it. We really look forward to going back again sometime soon! :) But this year our trip is scheduled for Las Vegas for work for my DH and then on to California and Disney Land! I am so super freakin excited about Disney Land its not even funny! Its like I am a kid again. My Dh tells me that if I get pregnant before then we will make the trip earlier or perhaps wait until our baby is one and then take Oma and Opa with us and then we can all go to Disney Land together! Wow I so totally just got off topic but can you tell I am really EXCITED! lol

Sean and I are leaving the morning after the wedding. (We have to be at the airport at 6 to be exact - who thought that was a good idea?). Anyway we are going to the Sandal's Royal Bahamian in the Bahamas. It is for 5 nights (Sunday through Thursday) and 6 days. Sean really handled ALL of the planning. SO I don't know too much. I think he said that it is going to cost just over $5000 including airfare.

We are planning on taking a Mexican Riviera cruise.. It is going to run about $1000 per person for 7 days. We are probably going to have to wait for a couple of months to go. But, I can't wait!!

Well we can't afford much at all if any thing. So depending on what we get for gifts as money for the wedding then we might take a couuple of days and head down to the ocean in Maine and stay at a hotel. Just to get away and relax for a day or 2. Then back home to get the kids from my mom and head back to OUR home in NH. Where we will go and enjoy the busy bike weekend of Laconia. My frined from Austraila will still be here and she can't wait to see it. It is realy cool. Thousands of bikers come in for a full week. It takes place at one of the major beaches here in the area.

We decided about a week ago that we are going to go to Disney World for our honeymoon. Steve is handling all the planning for it, so I don't know all the detail. We will either be staying at Wilderness Lodge or Port Orleans Riverside. He is going to work on all the bookings by the end of the month. I'm guessing it's will cost us about $3500 and that will include most meals, airfair and park tickets.
We were also looking into Adventures by Disney where you can go to either Hawaii, Yellowstone, or Canada and see National parks and such. It's REALLY expensive though. $3000 a person. It's all inclusive though. The other down fall is that they only run the tours in the spring and summer. The last trips were the week before our wedding. So we are going to save up and hopefully go to Yellowstone in 2 years or so.

We went to Cancun Mexico. We stayed at Club Med. We opted for Club Med for the brand name so it was a little more expensive, but the whole trip including airfair was about $3500. It's a nice resort, but when we go back to Mexico we will choose another resort. Joe and I are both drinkers, and that was part of the reason we went with an "all inclusive" resort. At any rate they water down the alcohol so it is impossible to get a buzz ( and yes, I wanted a pleasant buzz for the entire 5 days) But the entertainment was GREAT and the accomodations were wonderful. Even better, watching the silly girls act even more silly because they were sooo drunk LOL
We actually missed our first flight......... I misunderstood the requirements for entering Mexico and we only brought photo id and our social security cards. When we arrived at the air port we couldn't board with out our birth certificates or passport. Joe's mom had to come back to the airport (30 minute drive) pick us up and bring us home to get our birth certificates. After an hour of searching for Joe's his mom remembered that she never gave it to him at it was at home in Washington State (we live in Michigan) So we found a certified copy that Joe had with his army records. We rushed back to the airport only to be told that it was correct because it didn't have a seal (it only said certified copy) So the ticket attendant tells us to run upstairs and the airport notery could noterize it for us and we could be on the next flight. Guess who had that day off? The notery! So we had to wait for the banks to open. The first guy absolutely refused to noterize it no matter how much we begged, finally the second bank teller noterized it for us and we got back in time for the second flight...... I send the whole flight worried that they would not let us into Mexico! Whew! Sorry that was long.......... Uhmm, yeah, check out Cancun:bbredface:

We are going to Jamaica for 5 days, 4 nights and it is going to cost us $3100 (plus spending money). That includes airfare as well. We are staying at Sandals Royal Caribbean.

My fear of flying keeps us from going anywhere really exciting to most, but we are just taking a road trip. We live in Ohio and we've never been to the New England states so we are going to drive up through PA, NY, Vermont, New Hampshire, and to Maine. If we have time we are going to drive to Boston and then home.

I am EXTREMELY excited to go through VT, NH, and Maine.. those states always seemed so beautiful to me. I am really excited.

The only thing that's going to stink is how much its going to cost us in gas!=(

We haven't planned anything. We eventualy want to go to Cuba. But we're waiting until we have a little more money and can take the time off.
We are planning to do some weekend get aways. Probably to Niagra Falls, the Muskokas, hopefully a concert or football game in Toronto and stay the night down town, I'd also like to go to NY state and do a little shopping. But that might be when we go to Niagra Falls. Little things like that.

Why are you afraid to fly Ally? If you don't mind me asking! You are missing out on some really beautiful places! (ie Hawaii and the Bahamas) I am a little frightened of flying, I just get nervous mostly but I have flown at least 20 times all without incedent!!

Oh, mom! You are so silly. We am going to Jamaica, like Kacie, Monetego Bay to be exact. We are staying at a Couples Resort (All Inclusive) for 5 days that might change but it is Couples for the time being. We just sent out our honeymoon registry last night.

The total trip should be about $3000.00. Hopefully all my family and friends like me ; )

Hey Ally I have a cousin that is afraid of flying and they just take the train places. I don't know about the cost and I know you still couldn't go overseas, but you could go to the beaches in Florida or California or something. I know you already have your honeymoon planned, but just an idea for later.
