Why not stick with the red and beige? My photographer told me that red photographs so nicely! I was in the same boat, before though too. I had originally picked a baby blue, a royal but soft at the same time purple and a beautiful shade of yellow, almost like butter in a way. Of course that all changed when I bought my wedding dress. (It has red incorporated into the dress.) Hense the reason why I also went with red for my bridal attendants. If its still a tough decision for you, here's what i would recommend, go to your local hardware store and pick up some of those paint sample things on paper, cut each color out individually and mix and match until you figure out which colors you like best and which ones go together best. Good Luck and have fun with it!

My best friend had her wedding in June. Her colors were red and white because they were married on flag day (June 14) We (the bridesmaids) were dressed in red. Everything looked great with all the red in June! I agree with the above poster. You could keep the red and the beige.

Red is a great color for weddings - but a word of caution- there are so many varieties of the color that red can clash with red so be sure everyone has a color sample- venders, bridesmaids, groom, family etc.

Word to warning! Red only looks nice in color photographs, in black and white it looks like a black mess.

Am3na,

You are oh so right! I like the red too, but only in color photographs! I've had several brides tell me that they are going with red this summer ~ it must be a very popular color this year.

I also see a ton of brides using red as their major color for summer 05! I think that in June, you could use any colors you wanted! Can you use the decor aspects of your locations, and tie everything together with complementary colors? Or follow your first choice, and just use the red and beige!

Good Luck!

Red is the IN color this year. And speaking of red in color vs b/w photos -- red lipstick also shows up black in b/w photos - so unless you want that goth look - regardless of your color scheme - steer clear of red lipstick.

That's a good one, Jean ~ "goth" look....I didn't think of that term to use to describe how it would look.

I don't think it matters when your getting married as to what colors to use. You can you any color any time of the year. Is is YOUR wedding so do what you want. Like i am doing with having all 6 girls in a differnt color dress.

This is just my opinion ladies, but... I think you should always try to keep the bridesmaids in a neutral color and bring out your color scheme with your flowers and decor.
I say this because I have been a bridesmaid in a total of (6) weddings, and I have never worn any of the dresses a second time! They were all colors that I would have never selected on my own, or worn to a formal event. (Even though they were nice dresses)
Just an idea, but neutral colors could be:

Black
Ivory
Beige - Tan - Light Brown
Platinum (my choice)
White (yes white)
Gold
Silver

and then you can always add a colored sash or some element to the dress. I allowed my bridal party to select their own gowns so that it would be something that they liked and I really didn't want the typical "bridesmaid" dress.
Like I said, it's just my opinion - but, I think it's a thought to consider. I am adding various shades of pink throughout to bring in some color, but.. it won't be overwhelming. I don't want to match too much - then I think it looks like PROM all over again.

I totally agree with iluvweddings. Keep the beige, but maybe add a red accent to the bridesmaid dresses like the designer monique lhuillier does for her wedding gowns. On the other hand, beige is really difficult to compliment a variety of skin tones and body shapes...

Miri,
A soft green or purple (lilac) would be nice. I had a June 16th wedding and we went with a color called Victorian Lilac (Alfred Angelo). It was very nice. Greens are big right now too!
Best Wishes!

my bridal party is wearing a classic red dress for the wedding. i don't see a problem with having red and beige in june, red is a bright fun colour and you have do soooo much with it. just make sure you have the right red for the beige to match with.

have fun!
