We are going to Hilton Head next wee to look for a destination wedding venue. Anyone been to one or heard of a good one? The wedding will probably be only 20-30 people. Thanks much Dog mom

I've seen some beautiful pictures from HH weddings. Sorry I don't know where any of them were held, though! Good luck!

Have you tried doing a Google search? I'm planning a long distance wedding and that was how I found our ceremony site.

We did the google search, the only problem is that so many of the venues have site fees and minimum food allowances that it is hard to find what we want. I'll keep looking, wish me luck, we go there this weekend hoping to set everything up and my choice of venues are dwindling.

Yeah I can imagine that would be a problem with Hilton Head since it's such a popular place. I hope you can find something!

Hilton Head is gorgeous. My husband and I vacationed there about 2 years ago. Wishing you luck in finding a place!!

I don't know of a wedding venue but Hilton Head is amazing! We went there a few years ago and there was so much you could do!

Plus we got to see sea turtles hatch and make their way to the ocean which just made my day!

Let us know what you end up finding!

We went a few weeks ago and decided to have the wedding at The Country Club of Hilton Head. The site was gorgeous, there were no site fees since we are members of a sister club in Cleveland, and it was perfect . We thought we were having around 30 people, but now it has doubled. I'm happy that people want to come to a destination wedding. All that we have left is ceremony music and the rehearsal dinner. We were thinking at the Salty Dog or the Boathouse. Any thoughts? Thanks Dog mom

Have you had your wedding yet? I'd love to know how it went. I'm getting married there in May.

The wedding is scheduled for April 25, 2009. We did fly there 3 weeks ago to finalize the flowers and cake. It was fabulous. We originally thought it would be for 30-50 people. We have 270 invited. People love the idea of a wedding there. We're really excited. Let me know if you need any help or ideas. Our wedding coordinator at the Country Club is fabulous! Dog mom

I'm heading there in a couple of weeks to finalize some things. I think we have a photographer squared away. Have you found a good florist?

Yes, we heard that there were only 2 on the island that were reputable. We went with Flowers by Sue 843 842-8778 The other one was A Floral Affair, and they were more than double our amount. There is also a guy that does it solo out of his house, but we could not get him to return our calls, and that scared me. Flowers by Sue has been great, she has worked with us on our budget and I loved her style. Do you have a cake, because the baker is right down the street from the florist. Her name is Signe's and that cakes tasted fabulous. She worked with us on our designs and she was fabulous. Try her cafe if you go there. Her french toast was on Rachael Ray's show. Good Luck. Tell the florist we recommended you. 4-25-09 wedding at the country club.Dog mom
